JEE Main 2025 Syllabus

JEE MAIN 2025 has Three papers, one for Engineering (BE /BTech), B.Planning, and the other for Architecture (BArch). JEE Main 2025 Paper-I is conducted in both computer-based and pen & paper-based, but Paper-II & Paper III are conducted in only pen & paper-based. Paper I is comprised of the syllabus from the subjects Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Whereas JEE Main 20252 Paper-II comprised the syllabus from the subjects Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing. JEE Main 2025 application forms start in March 2025.

JEE Main 2025 Syllabus for B.E/B.Tech:

Mathematics: Sets, Relations & Functions, Complex Numbers & Quadratic Equations, Matrices & Determinants, Permutations & Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Mathematical Induction, Limit, Continuity & Differentiability, Sequences & Series, Differential Equations, Integral Calculus, Three Dimensional Geometry, Co-ordinate Geometry, Statistics & Probability, Vector Algebra, Mathematical Reasoning and Trigonometry.

Physics: Physics and measurement, Laws of Motion, Kinematics, Work, Energy and power, Gravitation, Rotational Motion, Properties of Solids and liquids, Kinetic Theory of Gases, Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Oscillations and waves, Magnetic Effects of Current and magnetism, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction & Alternating Currents, Optics, Electromagnetic Waves, Dual Nature of Matter & Radiation, Electronic Devices, Atoms & Nuclei, Communication Systems, etc.

Chemistry:

Physical Chemistry: Some Basic Concepts in Chemistry, Atomic Structure, States of Matter, Chemical Bonding and molecular Structure, Solutions, Chemical Thermodynamics, Redox Reactions and electrochemistry, Equilibrium, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, etc.

Inorganic Chemistry: General Principles & Process of Isolation of Metals, Hydrogen, Classification of Elements & Periodicity in Properties, p – Block Elements, s – Block Element, Coordination Compounds, d – and f – Block Elements, Environmental Chemistry, etc.

Organic Chemistry: Some Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry, Purification and characterization of Organic Compounds, Organic Compounds Containing Halogens, Hydrocarbons, Organic Compounds Containing Oxygen, Polymers, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Bio-Molecules, Principles Related to Practical Chemistry, Chemistry in Everyday Life, etc.

JEE Main 2025 Syllabus for B.Arch/B.Planning:

Part-I

Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, and Materials. Objects and texture related to Architecture and build environment. Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualizing different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning, Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical, and Verbal).
Part-II

Three-dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms, and elements, colour texture, harmony, and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms in both 2-D and 3-D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of plans, elevations, and 3-D views of objects. Creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.
Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces, etc.), landscape (river fronts, jungles. gardens, trees, plants, etc.), and rural life.

Note: B.Arch/Planning candidates are advised to bring their own geometry box set, pencils, erasers, and coloured pencils or crayons.
