The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a standardized state-level test conducted for admission of candidates into MBA, PGDM, and MCA Courses across Karnataka Universities/Colleges.

The Testing Authority for conducting KMAT (KARNATAKA) 2025 is the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) for admission to more than 189 AICTE-approved and University affiliated Management Colleges across Karnataka State.

KMAT (KARNATAKA) 2025 is now open to prospective Test Takers from all States of India and abroad. KPPGCA has opened the gates of KMAT exam registration for all Test Takers irrespective of their domicile State.

KMAT (KARNATAKA) 2025 examination will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours, and it is a paper-based Test with 120 Multiple Choice questions (MCQs). Prospective Test Takers for KMAT (Karnataka) 2025 need to register online mode only. KPPGCA the conducting authority is yet to announce the date of commencement of registration and detailed schedule of the examination. However, it is anticipated that registrations are likely to be commenced in June 2025.

KMAT KARNATAKA 2025 will be held in more than 10 cities across Karnataka and is open to candidates from all parts of India and Abroad. Eligibility for KMAT 2025

Graduation of any discipline from a recognized College/Affiliated University with 50% aggregate for General and 45% for Reserved Category.  In addition, for MCA, candidates must have Mathematics as one of the subjects in12th or Graduation level.  No upper age limit is prescribed but a minimum of 21 years at the time of appearing in the Test.

KMAT 2025 Registration/Application Form:

Pre-requisites:

• Candidates desirous of appearing for KMAT (KARNATAKA) 2025 need to first check their eligibility criteria before attempting to register for the Test.

• KMAT (Karnataka) 2025 is available in online mode from the date to be announced by the Testing Authority.

• Application for KMAT 2025 is the same for MBA/PGDM courses and MCA Courses. The candidates need to select their desired course during the process of filling up of the application.

• Candidates must ensure that the name entered in the application form for KMAT 2025 is exactly matching with the name mentioned in the Documents.

• Candidates are required to keep the following documents ready before attempting to register for KMAT (Karnataka) 2025:

o Valid Email ID
o Valid Mobile number
o Academic Marks Sheet (Class 10th to Graduation)
o Date of birth certificate
o Address proof card (Aadhar/driving license etc)
o Case Certificate, in case of reserved categories
o Credit Card/Debit Card or Net banking credentials
o Scanned JPG/JPEG file of Passport Size recent photograph and signature in the prescribed size mentioned in the table below:

• To determine and keep the Test Centre details ready. Option for one test centre is allowed.

KMAT 2025 Eligibility:

MBA/PGDM:

1) Candidate should hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum duration of 3 years (or) Masters's Degree in Commerce, Management, Arts, and Social Sciences, Engineering/Technology or equivalent from any recognized University/college/institution/education body.

2) Candidates of the general category should have secured at least 50% of the marks in the aggregate. For SC/ST category candidates, it is reduced to 45% of marks in the aggregate.

3) Candidates in their final year of their bachelor’s degree are also eligible.

4) Age Limit: KPPGCA did not specify an upper age limit. But a candidate must be 21 years old to fulfill the criterion of the College concerned.

MCA:

1) Bachelor's degree with 50% marks.

2) Candidates should have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 stage or at the graduation level.

• Offline paper-pen-based test

• One mark will be awarded for every correct answer

KMAT 2025 Syllabus:

To recapitulate, KMAT 2025 is a paper-based Test with 120 MCQs in three Sections. There is no restriction imposed to move between the Sections. KMAT 2025 is a moderate difficulty level. Section-wise brief details of the Syllabus are mentioned below:

(1) Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension:

This Section is intended to assess the abilities of candidates in grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages, etc. Questions on an understanding of the contents of the passages and choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions, and similar language skills. This Section includes the passages with questions based on their contents to test comprehension.


(2) Logical and Abstract Reasoning:

This Section is intended to test the accuracy and speed a candidate can think. Questions in this Section are sets as well as individual ones based on verbal reasoning, and analogy among others.

(3) Quantitative Ability:

This Section is intended to test the speed and accuracy of the candidates at numbers, numerical calculations, understanding various arithmetic problems involving ratio and proportion, percentage, interest, time, and speed etc. Besides, these topics, there will be questions based on Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and parts of Mathematics of 10th Class standard. This Test is also used to measure the power of quantitative reasoning, and interpretation of tables, common graphs, and charts.

KMAT 2025 Admit Cards

The release of Admit Cards for candidates registered for KMAT 2025 is slated for the June 2025 tentatively. Admit Cards are available only online and candidates need to download them from the official website.
Admit Cards will be available to the candidates who had successfully submitted their applications. Following is the process to be followed by the candidates to download the Admi Card:

• Candidates need to visit the Official Website of KMAT 2025
• Click on the ‘Download Admit Card’ link on the homepage.
• Candidates need to enter the login credentials (application form number and date of birth)
• The Admit Card shall appear on the screen.
• Candidates need to take a printout of the same.
• The following details are included in the Admit Card:

o Name of the Candidate
o Application Number
o Test Centre
o Examination Date
o Examination timings
o Instructions on the day of examination and test center
o Photograph of the candidate

KMAT 2025 Results & Rank Card:

The KMAT 2025 results will be released in November 2025 tentatively through the official portal. The score/Rank card will be available after the release of results. Candidates can check and download the results and rank card from KMAT official websiteRank cards will NOT be sent by post or mail to the candidate.

KMAT 2025 Admission Process:

There is no separate counseling procedure for KMAT 2025. Candidates have to apply separately for the participating institutions. Institutions shortlist the candidates after the announcement of results. Every institution will be having its own admission procedure. Some institutions may conduct Group discussions and interviews also.

KMAT 2025 General Instructions:

1) The Candidates, who wish to apply for KMAT, must apply through online and offline.

2) It is advised to visit your allotted Examination Centre well before so that you can take examination tension-free.

3) It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they are answering the correct Question Booklet of the branch for which they are eligible for admission.

4) Candidates must return both Question Paper Booklet and OMR Answer Sheet after the test. Another page in the OMR sheet can be taken by the candidate for reference to his/her answers.

5) The Question booklet code, Hall Ticket Number and other details must be entered correctly and properly on the OMR Answer Sheet, in the Test. Otherwise ranks declared, if any will be cancelled subsequently in such cases.

6) The candidate will have to paste his/her passport size photograph as uploaded on the registration form in the space provided on the Admit Card.

7) Candidates are required to report 1 hour before the scheduled start time of the test for the verification & security check.

8) Candidates should carry the following to the test venue

a) Admit Card duly completed with photograph and your valid photo ID proof

b) Black & Blue ballpoint pen; HB Pencils, Eraser and Sharpener.
