The ILSAT 2025 (ICFAI Law School Admission Test) is the qualifying exam for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate Law programs such as BBA-LLB (Hons.) and BA-LLB (Hons.) at ICFAI Law Schools. Known for integrating legal education with management and policy perspectives, ICFAI aims to train legal professionals who are equipped to navigate both courtrooms and boardrooms. ILSAT evaluates candidates on English proficiency, logical and legal reasoning, and general awareness.

ILSAT 2025 – Online Registration:

ILSAT is conducted by ICFAI Law School. This exam is for those aspirants who are seeking admission to the following programs listed below.

  • 3-year full-time UG program at ICFAI Law School accepting ILSAT
  • Candidates can pursue 3-5year full time UG and 2-year PG program in the field of Law.

ILSAT 2025 Notification:

ILSAT 2025 began with the online application submissions starting in September 2024 for both Phase 1 and Phase 2. The last date for the submission of online applications is 14th December 2024 (Phase 1) and 5th April 2025 (Phase 2). ILSAT exam will be conducted between 15th December 2024 (Phase 1) and 6th April 2025 (Phase 2).

ILSAT 2025 Application Form:

  • The ILSAT 2025 application form is available in both online and offline mode for admission to ICFAI Law School programs.
  • Candidates must have qualified Class XII (10+2) or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in a single attempt in English medium. Candidates awaiting their results are also eligible to apply. The maximum age limit is 21 years as of the start of Semester I (subject to BCI guidelines).
  • The application fee is INR1,000 which is payable online through credit/debit card, net banking.
  • Candidates can also make offline payment via demand draft in favour of “IFHE-Prospectus Fee A/c ILSAT 2025,” payable at Hyderabad.
  • To apply online, candidates need to register on the official website (ifheindia.org/fol), fill in personal, academic, and contact details, upload a passport-size photograph, and pay the fee.
  • For offline applications, candidates will be able to download the form, fill it, and send it along with the demand draft to the IFHE Admissions Office, Hyderabad.
  • After successful submission, candidates will be able to access an application correction window (if needed), and are advised to print and retain a copy of the filled form and fee receipt for future reference.

ILSAT 2025 Application Process:

Requirements:

  1. Candidates must have a valid email id and phone number for ease of communication.
  2. Candidates will be required to provide their personal and academic details.
  3. Candidates need to upload their scanned images of a recent passport-size photograph and signature.

Steps to Apply for ILSAT 2026:

Online Mode:

  • Candidates need to visit the official website of ICFAI Law School (ifheindia.org/fol) and click on the 'Apply' button for the chosen course (BA LLB, BBA LLB, or LLM).
  • Candidates need to register online by providing personal details and then log in to access the application form.
  • Fill in the application form with required personal and academic information along with a statement of purpose.
  • Candidates then need to upload a recent passport-size photograph and any other required documents in the specified format.
  • Pay the application fee of INR 1,000 in online mode using a credit/debit card or net banking.

Offline Mode:

  • Candidates need to download the form from the website, fill it, and send it with a demand draft of INR 1,000 (in favour of “IFHE-Prospectus Fee A/c ILSAT 2025”, payable at Hyderabad) to the IFHE Admissions Office, Hyderabad.
  • Submit the application form online or dispatch the offline form via speed post/courier; keep a copy of the filled form and payment receipt for future reference.

A correction window is usually provided before admit card release for making changes if needed.

ILSAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Year Under Graduate Program (BBA-LLB (Hons.), BA-LLB (Hons.), and BAJ-LLB (Hons.)):
  • Candidates must have qualified Class 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in a single attempt, in any discipline, and in English medium.
  • Those appearing for their Class 10+2 (or equivalent) final exams before July 2025 and awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must qualify in the ILSAT 2025conducted by ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad.
  • Candidates should not be more than 21 years of age as on the day of commencement of Semester I (the age limit may be revised as per Bar Council of India guidelines).
  • date of birth as recorded in the Secondary School Certificate will be considered authentic for age verification
  • The qualifying examination must have been completed in the English medium.
  • The required 50% marks must be obtained in a single attempt; compartmental or supplementary attempts are not considered.
  • Candidates are advised to check for any updates or changes in eligibility as per the latest Bar Council of India (BCI) guidelines.

ILSAT 2025 Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will be conducted in an online computer – based mode.
  • The duration of the exam is of 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • The exam will be conducted in English only.
  • There will be a total of 125 questions in multiple choice questions with 5 sections, each section will have 25 questions.
  • 1 mark for each correct answer and no negative marking for incorrect or un attempted questions.

Section-wise focus:

  • English:Vocabulary, reading comprehension, synonyms, antonyms, grammar, sentence arrangement, idioms, and phrases.
  • Logical Reasoning:Classification, series, seating arrangement, statements and assumptions, coding-decoding, ranking, etc.
  • Legal Reasoning:Legal and moral issues, factual passages, awareness of social legal matters.
  • GK/Current Affairs:Current events, geography, history, science, economics, and social developments.
  • Analytical Reasoning:Syllogisms, number and letter series, analogy, data sufficiency, conditional statements, blood relations, Venn diagrams.

ILSAT 2025 Admit Card:

  1. Candidates will be provided with admit cards for the ILSAT 2025 exam as per the schedule decided by the authorities.
  2. Admit card is mandatory without which no candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam.
  3. Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets/admit cards from the official website with the help of login credentials or other information such as registration number, date of birth, etc.

ILSAT 2025 Syllabus:

The ILSAT 2025 syllabus consists of five main sections, each designed to assess different skills relevant for law aspirants. The exam is for admission to integrated law programs (such as BBA LLB, BA LLB) at ICFAI Law School.

Legal Reasoning

Legal general knowledge (Constitution, Preamble, IPR), current affairs of legal importance, legal matters of social issues, awareness of legal and moral issues, factual-based passages.

General Knowledge / Current Affairs

Current events of national and international importance, Indian and world geography/history, polity and Constitution, economy, science, sports, books and authors, awards, important days.

Analytical Reasoning

Series, blood relations, syllogism, analogies, logical sequences, arguments, mathematical reasoning, basic calculations.

  • The exam is objective-type (multiple-choice questions).
  • Each section is equally weighted (25 questions, 25 marks per section).
  • The Legal Reasoning section does not require prior knowledge of law but tests aptitude and awareness of legal concepts.
  • Current Affairs questions are both static (facts) and dynamic (recent events).
  • This structure ensures a comprehensive assessment of language, reasoning, legal aptitude, and awareness, matching the requirements for undergraduate law admissions at ICFAI Law School.

Scholarship Details:

The ICFAI Law School offers certain scholarship to its students that are listed below.

Merit Scholarships (at ICFAI Law School):

  • This scholarship is awarded on the basis of past academic merit and semester-wise performance.
  • Candidates pursuing BA LLB and BBA LLB courses are eligible for this scholarship.
  • Exact amounts and criteria are announced by the institute each year.
  • Scholarships may cover part of the tuition fee or offer other financial incentives based on performance.

Eligibility for Admission: 

  • Candidates need to be qualified in Class 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in a single attempt and in English should be the medium of language.

External Scholarships: 

Candidates qualifying ILSAT and joining ICFAI Law School may also apply for external scholarships such as the FFE Scholarship, provided they meet the eligibility (e.g., for ILSAT, FFE Scholarship eligibility requires a maximum rank of 800 in ILSAT and family income below INR 3 LPA).

ILSAT 2025 Results:

ILSAT 2025 results will be announced by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) in two dates. The results for Phase 1 will be announced on 26th December 2024, and the results for Phase 2 will be announced on 10th April 2025.

The ILSAT 2025 exam is conducted in two Phases – the first phase was conducted on 15th December 2024 while the second phase will be conducted on 10th April 2025.

ILSAT 2025 Selection Process:

  • Candidates who are shortlisted by the authorities, based on their ILSAT 2025 scores, will be individually notified through email and will be issued a call letter to attend the Personal Interview round, either in-person or online, as per the institute’s schedule.
  • Candidates must appear for the PI at the designated venue or online platform. The interview assesses not only the entrance exam performance but also previous academic records and overall suitability for the law program.
  • On the day of the interview round, candidates who gets selected are given provisional admission letters. This offer is contingent upon payment of the admission fee and successful verification of required documents.
  • Candidates must submit their self-attested photocopies and originals of required documents (such as Class X and XII mark sheets, birth certificate, transfer/migration certificate, and qualifying exam completion certificate) and pay the admission/program fee within the stipulated window. Originals are returned after verification.
  • Provisionally admitted candidates will be required to report for registration for the first semester within the scheduled dates, bringing all necessary certificates and proof of fee payment.

ILSAT 2025 Instructions:

  1. Candidates should upload their photograph and signature with the preferred size in the portal which should be clearly visible.
  2. Candidates need to carry their admit card/hall ticket to the exam centre. Candidates will be prohibited from entering the exam hall without this document.
  3. Candidates will also be required to carry a valid ID proof such as – Voter ID Card/ Aadhaar Card/ PAN Card/ Driving License, etc.
  4. It is advisable for all candidates to enter the designated exam hall before time for a smooth security process before the beginning of exam.
  5. Any candidate violating the rules will be strictly dealt as per the norms of the exam centre.
  6. Any candidate pursuing any unfair means in the exam hall will be dealt with as per the rules and regulations of the test centre.
