Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (Karnataka PGCET) 2025 is a state-level entrance exam that will be conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) every year for admissions into the postgraduate courses M.E/M. Tech / M.Arch and MBA/MCA are offered by both government and private reputed colleges present in Karnataka State.
1) Candidates must be a resident of Karnataka State and meet the domicile requirements.
2) Candidates who studied in the institutions present in Karnataka state for a minimum of 7 years are also eligible to apply.
3) Candidates who wish to get admission in M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch/MBA program requires a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in B.E./B.Tech (45% for reserved candidates).
4) Candidates who qualified for UG exams with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Applications or Computer Programming or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects with 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved candidates) are eligible to apply for full-time MCA courses.
5) Candidates must qualify for BCA/B.Sc (IT/CS) with Mathematics at the graduate level and obtained 50% aggregate marks (45% for resaved candidates) to get lateral entry to the MCA program.
For M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch Courses:
1) Question paper will consist of Part 1 and Part 2.
2) Part-1 contains 50 questions and part-2 contains 25 questions.
3) Each question of part 1 will be of 1 mark and each question of part 2 carries 2 marks.
4) Question paper of M.E./M.Tech/M. Arch is of total 100 marks.
1) Examination conducted for the MBA course will consist of 100 marks.
2) Candidates have to answer the questions in a time period of 150 minutes.
3) The type of question paper is an objective type containing four different options.
4) Each question carries one mark.
1) The question paper designed for MCA course is of 100 marks with time duration of 150 minutes.
2) All the questions asked in the examination are of objective type.
3) Question paper will consist of Part-A and Part-B, 60 questions in Part-A of 1 mark and 20 questions in Part-B of 2 marks.
Karnataka PGCET 2025 entrance examination is scheduled on Jul 2025. Candidates need to carry their admit cards along with their original id proof to enter the exam centre. The exam will be conducted in Offline Mode i.e. Pen & Paper Based Test.
1) Candidate has to visit the KEA official website http://kea.kar.nic.in/ to apply.
2) Candidates who are eligible can apply after the release of PGCET 2025 Application forms.
3) Candidates have to fill the personal and academic details, address for communication, valid mobile number & email id, etc.
4) Candidates need to upload his/her recent photograph and signature in JPEG/JPG format with given specifications.
5) Candidates are advised to take the printout of the application form for future reference.

Application fee can be paid through challan deposited in any of the branch of state bank of Mysore. Candidates can also pay the application fee in E-payment post offices.
Karnataka PGCET 2025 Admit Cards will be available for download in the April 2025 tentatively. Candidates can download the admit cards visiting the official website http://kea.kar.nic.in/ and submitting the relevant information. Candidates should carry the admit cards along with a id proof mandatorily.
Karnataka PGCET 2025 Answer Key will be released in its official website http://kea.kar.nic.in/ by KEA in the OCT 2025 tentatively. Candidates can download the answer key up on the release of key. Candidates can predict their marks approximately by comparing their answers with key. Candidates can submit their objection via email on keauthority-ka@nic.in.
Karnataka PGCET 2025 Results will be released in the DEC 2025 tentatively. Candidates can check their results from the official website of the KEA http://kea.kar.nic.in/ using their application/roll numbers and other details if required. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by candidates in the entrance examination.
Karnataka PGCET 2025 Counselling will be expected to commence from DECEMBER 2025 tentatively. Qualified candidates have to attend the Karnataka PGCET 2025 Counselling for the allotment of seats. Candidates will be given the chance to choose the college and branch of their choice on the counselling day. Seats will be allocated based on the marks obtained by the candidates and the availability of seats in the college.
