WBUT PGET 2025 (West Bengal University of Technology Post Graduate Entrance Test) is a state-level engineering entrance test. WBUT PGET 2025 is conducted by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal for admission into M. Tech and M.Pharm programs.

Application forms for WBUT PGET 2025 will be available on the official website from 1st week of June 2025. The selection of the candidates will be done based on Interviews and performance in the entrance test. WBUT PGET 2025 Merit List is prepared based on marks scored in the entrance exam, Technical Interview, and GATE/GPAT score.

WBUT PGET 2025 Application forms will be available online from 1st week of June 2025. Candidates can fill out the application form online mode only on the university’s official website.

Here are the steps that candidates can follow to fill WBUT PGET 2025 online application form: -

1. Reach the official website of the University, which is www.wbut.ac.in.
2. On the homepage, candidates will be able to see a notification flashing including the words ‘Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) 2025 for admission into M.Tech and M.Pharm under MAKAUT, WB.’ Candidates need to click on that link.
3. Now a new page that will be providing all the necessary details and links about WBUT PGET 2025 will open.
4. To start filling out the application form, candidates need to click on ‘Click here to apply online.’
5. Now candidates need to fill in the details as asked by the form and then upload their photograph and signature.
6. Candidates are advised to once read and understand the guidelines for filling out the online form as mentioned on the same page.
7. After filling out the form, candidates may click on ‘Submit.’
8. Candidates must carefully see all the details before clicking submit as details once submitted cannot be changed.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs.600/- for general and OBC category students, and Rs.300 for SC/ST category candidates. The candidates should prepare a demand draft from any nationalized bank favoring “MAKUTWB-PGET” payable at Kolkata, to pay the fee

WBUT PGET 2025 Eligibility criteria

Before applying for admission through WBUT PGET 2025, the applicants are advised to read the eligibility criteria set by the admission authorities of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. If any of the applicants fail to meet the required criteria then he/she will not be granted admission into the institute:

• The applicants should have qualified for their Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy / Architecture from a well-recognized institute. The final-year students will also be eligible provided that they graduate by August 2025.
• The applicants are associate members of a Professional of Engineers recognized by the Govt. Of India as equivalent courses are also eligible to apply for admission.
• For admissions through WBUT PGET 2025, those applicants who have done M.Sc or are completing M. Sc in the appropriate branches are also eligible.
• Distance education degrees are not eligible.

General Section (English, Aptitude in Logical / Reasoning Power and Mathematics) - 20 marks

Mathematics, Basic Sciences & Engineering Sciences – 30 marks

Relevant Engineering Section – 50 Marks

Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking

WBUT PGET 2025 Syllabus

The syllabus for WBUT PGET 2025 is to be decided by the university and is subject to changes. The current syllabus of WBUT PGET 2025 contains general analytical topics.

Candidates may study the following topics for WBUT PGET 2025: -

• Basic Mathematics
• Reasoning topics such as Coding-Decoding, Number series, Sitting Arrangement, etc.
• Basic engineering topics
• English topics such as Vocabulary, Grammar, Punctuation, reading comprehension, etc.

Candidates must keep in mind that the level of questions asked will be of Graduation Level.

WBUT PGET 2025 Admit Card

WBUT PGET 2025 Admit Card will be made available on the official website. Admit card contains all the important details of the exam. Candidate can follow the following steps for downloading WBUT PGET 2025 Admit Card: -

• Visit the official website of the University, www.wbut.ac.in.
• On the homepage, candidates will be able to see a notification flashing including the words ‘Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) 2025 for admission into MTECH and MPHARM under MAKAUT, WB.’ Candidates need to click on that link.
• On the new page, candidates will be able to see the link ‘Click here to download Admit Card for PGET 2025.’
• After clicking on this, candidates will need to enter their Application Number along with other credentials asked (such as Date of Birth or Password) to download the admit card.
• Now candidates need to click on ‘Submit.’
• Admit Card will appear on the screen.
• Candidates are advised to download at least two copies of Admit Card in the collared format, for future purposes.

WBUT PGET 2025 Results

The result for WBUT PGET 2025 will be declared soon after the conduction of the exam. Candidates can view their results for WBUT PGET 2025 from the official website.

Candidates can use the following steps to view the results of WBUT PGET 2025: -

• Go to the official website of the University, www.wbut.ac.in.
• In the latest announcements section, candidates can see the notification for WBUT PGET 2025 results.
• After clicking on this link, the candidate needs to enter his/her roll number and other credentials (such as date of birth or password) to view the result.
• After entering the details, click on view result.
• The result cards will appear on the screen, candidates are advised to take a collared printout of this for future reference.

WBUT PGET 2025 Counselling

Qualified candidates are called for WBUT PGET 2025 counseling and technical interview. Candidates need to have a demand draft issued in favor of WBUT PGET of INR 500 as the counseling fee. Dates of counseling are allotted to clusters of ranks, for example, 1-100, 101-250, etc., and candidates will be notified of the same.

Candidates must not forget to carry the following documents while going through the counseling process: -

• Admit Card of WBUT PGET 2025
• Rank card of WBUT PGET 2025
• Original and self-attested copies of Class 10, 12, and graduate degrees.
• Original and self-attested copies of legal documents such as caste certificates, income certificates,s, etc.
• Scorecard of GATE/GPAT (if any)
• Passport-sized pictures of candidates
• The counseling fee of INR 5000 is to be paid for seat booking, if the candidate does not take admission, this fee will not be refunded
