JEE Main Preparation Tips and Tricks

Joint Entrance Exam - JEE Main is the National level engineering entrance examination conducted by NTA online mode. An aspirant who qualifies JEE Main exam is eligible to appear JEE Advanced. Below are the tips to score well in your JEE Main exam without affecting your board preparation.

JEE Main 2025 Syllabus

 

The preparation tips you need to follow while preparing for JEE Main are:

  • Prepare a timetable for daily studies. Divide your time equally among all the three subjects.
  • For IIT JEE, your basics should be strong. Practice as much as you can for your basics.
  • Avoid the use of social media and the internet as much as possible. Instead, you can focus on your hobbies and play outdoor games.
  • Give mocks regularly and analyze them. This helps you learn from your mistakes.
  • JEE is not about learning or mugging up concepts. It’s about understanding things.
  • Study in slots. The one-slot timing can be 1.5 hours. You can divide your whole timetable according to it.
  • Clear your doubts with your teachers or mentors as soon as possible.
  • Be consistent with your studies and regularly analyze your performance.

 

JEE Main Subject wise preparation tips:

Physics:

  • Learn formulas thoroughly
  • Learn the derivation of the formulas
  • Concentrate on scoring topics
  • Diligent practice

Chemistry:

  • Inorganic Chemistry focuses mostly on the concepts, the processes, and their applications
  • Carefully study Organic Chemistry
  • Practice the most important topics, equations, mechanisms, and related problems regularly
  • Regular Revision

Maths:

  • Understand and practice the derivations of the formulas regularly
  • Take mock tests to improve your speed and accuracy

Stressed over some topics or formulas that you just cannot seem to understand? Allocate more time and focus on those topics to improve it. Keep small notes and regularly revise those concepts which have been tough to understand.

Create flashcards to help you with quick studies and revision.

Solving sample papers and past year question papers will ensure good marks in the JEE main exam. Solve as many problems as you can, and thus make stronger and build your concepts.
