JEE Main 2019 Registration: Application Process Starts from September 1st

JEE Main 2019 Registration for January Session

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards. This Examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018.

NTA (National Testing Agency), has released the JEE Main 2019 notification on August 20. The exam will be conducted on Sunday, January 6, 2019 to January 20, 2019. The online application process for JEE Main 2019 will commence from September 1, and the last date to submit the same without the late fee is 30th September 2018. The application fee for all candidates across categories is Rs. 2000/.

JEE Main 2019 Registration for April Session

NTA (National Testing Agency), has released the JEE Main 2019 notification on February 2019. The exam will be conducted on Saturday, April 6, 2019 to April 20, 2019. The online application process for JEE Main 2019 will commence from February 8, and the last date to submit the same without the late fee is 7th March 2019. The application fee for all candidates across categories is Rs. 2000/.

How to Register for JEE Main 2019

Fill the online registration form with all the required details, and then choose a PASSWORD, a Security Question & Answer and then Submit. Application Number is generated to complete the remaining steps of application.        

Password:

  1. i) Password must be 8 to 13 characters long.
  2. ii) At least one Uppercase Alphabet.
  1. iii) At least one Lowercase Alphabet.
  2. iv) At least one Numeric value.
  3. v) At least one special character (!@#$%^&*-).

Steps to Apply Online:

1) Using the generated Application Number and Password candidate is able to login directly.

2) Fill the particulars of the application form.

  1.  a) Choose Mode of Exam and Exam Centre
  2.  b) Personal and Academic Details
  3.  c) Address for Communication
  4.  d) Other required details.

3) Then upload the scanned photograph and signature.

4) Particulars can be modified only before payment of fees.

5) Pay the fee through Credit/Debit card or e-challan.

6) Exam Centres: The States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE Main system. Candidates can find the list of JEE Main 2019 Exam Cities below.

7) On successful submission, candidate will receive confirmation mail/sms.

8) Take a printout of the application for future reference.

JEE Main 2019 Application Fee

  • The application fee for all candidates across categories is Rs. 2000/.
  • In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit cards, the candidate will need to pay an additional processing charge as following
  • Credit Card: 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable.
  • Debit Card: 0.75% + taxes for examination fee up to Rs. 2000 and 1% + taxes for examination fee more than Rs. 2000.
  • Application fee once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances.

New Changes Introduced in JEE Main 2019

  • JEE Main 2019 will then be held twice a year (January and April).
  • The examination will be in 8 sittings. Candidates have to select any one date, out of the 8 available dates to appear in the examination.
  • The exam will be completely online.
  • A candidate may choose to appear in any one exam in a year or both the exams in a year.
  • The best marks out of both the exam will be used for preparing the admission list/AIR.
  • The announcement of the exam centres will be made as early as possible.
  • Candidates will be able to take the practice tests by visiting the centers from August-end or September start.
  • There will be no change in the syllabus, exam pattern, languages of the question papers and examination fees.
