Uttarakhand State Entrance Exam (UKSEE) is a state-level entrance test that Uttarakhand Technical University organizes. This exam is also called Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) Entrance Examination. UKSEE was conducted for admission to the first-year level of B.Pharma, BHMCT, and MCA and the second year (lateral entry) of B.Tech, B.Pharma, and MCA degree courses. Here, we provide the complete details about UKSEE 2025 including the application form, eligibility, result, counselling procedure, etc.
The Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun was established on 27th January 2005 by the Govt. of Uttarakhand through the Uttarakhand Technical University Act 2005. Here 8 Constituent and 132 affiliated colleges with 33,000 students in various courses. The University imparts education in Graduate, Post Graduate, and Doctorate programs in various disciplines like Management, Engineering, Hotel Management, Computer Application, Pharmacy, etc.
Candidates are advised to read the information written in the brochure completely before proceeding to the application form:
The application fee will be Rs. 1500/- for General/OBC category candidates and Rs. 750/- for SC/ST category candidates. The application fee can be submitted through net banking, credit card and debit card only. The application fee will not be refunded or transferred under any circumstances.
B.Tech Lateral Entry: Students must have passed either diploma or B.Sc degree with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
B.Pharma: Student has to pass the 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects along with one of the Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST students).
B.Pharm (LE): Candidate should pass the diploma examination with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST category candidates).
MCA: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree of 3 years from a recognized University. Mathematics at 10+2 standard and graduate level is compulsory. The qualifying exam must be passed with 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category).
MCA (LE) for Uttarakhand domicile and Academic domicile only: Pass 3 years of Bachelor’s degree in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science). Mathematics as a core subject at the intermediate level or at the graduate level.
BHMCT (Hotel Management): The prerequisite qualification is 10+2 passed with 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category)
Domicile:
Candidates, who pass the qualifying examination from other states but have a valid domicile of Uttarakhand state can also apply.
Candidates who pass the qualifying examination at Uttarakhand Technical Universities/Board can also apply for lateral entry seats.
Mode of Exam: It will be conducted in offline mode i.e. pen-paper based.
Type of Question: Objective-type questions will be given.
Marking Scheme: Different marks will be given for different papers accordingly.
Negative Marking: There is no negative marking.

The UKSEE 2025 exam syllabus for the test shall comprise of subject/ knowledge areas as per the latest Regulations issued by respective boards with prior approval of the Government of India
Paper 1:
PHYSICS: Measurement, Motion in one direction, Laws of Motion, Motion in two dimensions, Work, power and energy, Linear momentum and collisions, Rotation of rigid body about an axis, Gravitation, Oscillatory motion, Mechanics of solids and fluids, heat and thermodynamics, Wave, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic effect of current, Magnetism in Matter, Electromagnetic induction, Ray, Optics and optical instruments, Wave Optics, Modern Physics.
CHEMISTRY: Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Redox Reactions, Chemical Equilibrium and Kinetics, Acid-Base Concepts, Electrochemistry, Catalysis, Colloids, Colligative Properties of Solution, Periodic Table, Preparation and Properties of the following, Thermochemistry, General Organic Chemistry, Isomerism, IUPAC, Polymers, Carbohydrates, Preparation and properties of the substance.
Paper 2:
MATHEMATICS: Algebra, Probability, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, Vectors, Dynamics, Statics.
Paper 3:
BIOLOGY: Zoology, Origin of Life, Organic Evolution, Mechanism of organic evolution, Human Genetics, and Eugenics, Applied Biology, Mammalian Anatomy, Animal Physiology.
BOTANY: Plant Cell, Protoplasm, Ecology, Ecosystem, Genetics, Seeds in angiosperm plants, Fruits, Cell Differentiation of Plant Tissue, Nitrogen, Photosynthesis, Transpiration, Respiration, Growth, and Movement.
Paper 4:
Aptitude Test for General Awareness: Reasoning and Logical Deduction, Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude, General Knowledge, and English Language.
Paper 5 (MCA):
MATHEMATICS: Modern Algebra, Algebra, Probability, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, Vectors, Dynamic, Statics, Statistics, Logical ability.
Paper 6:
(Aptitude Test for Diploma Holders in Engineering): Engineering, Mechanics, Engineering graphics, Base Electrical Engg, Basic Electronics Engg, Elements of Computer Science, Elementary Biology, Basic Workshop practice and Physics/ Chemistry/ Maths of Diploma standard.
Paper 7:
(Aptitude Test for Diploma Holders in Pharmacy): Pharmaceutics-I, Pharmaceutical Chemistry-I, Pharmacognosy, Biochemistry and Clinical Pathology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Health Education and Community Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics-II, Pharmaceutical Chemistry-II, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmaceutical jurisprudence, Drug Store and Business Management, Hospital, and Clinical Pharmacy.
Paper 8:
(Aptitude Test for B.Sc Graduate): Linear Algebra, Calculus, Differential equations, Complex variables, Probability and Statistics, Fourier Series, Transform Theory.
Paper 9 MCA Lateral Entry:
(MCA Direct Second Year): Mathematical Aptitude Test Areas, Computer Science, Accounting, Analytical and Logical Reasoning.
Candidates after filling the application fee properly will have to wait for a week or so to download their admit cards. Candidates are requested to download their admit cards from the official site and they are requested to keep their admit cards safely with them. Since entry without admit, cards will be prohibited in the examination hall.
Candidates are being informed that the results for the UKSEE 2025 will be declared online on the official site from where they can check out their results.
The decisions taken by the examination authority for admissions of students to various government and private colleges will be considered as the final result. Candidates will be getting available state and state quota seats on a merit cum choice basis.
