GATE Result 2025 Date and Time: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT-R) will release the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering exam results on on March 19. Candidates who appeared for the GATE 2025 must visit the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in to check and download results.
Candidates can access their result by visiting the GOAPS portal or the official GATE website by keying in their enrollment ID and password. Like every year, there will be separate ranks and scores for sectional papers — XE, XH and XL. GATE 2025 scores will remain valid for three years from the date of the announcement of results
As per the official schedule released by IIT-Roorkee, the GATE 2025 result will be released on March 19. However, the time for the release of the result has not been declared yet. Last year, the results were released between 5:30 pm and 5:45 pm on March 16. Following this, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee will release the scorecards.
GATE 2025: Scorecards
The GATE 2025 scorecard will be available only to the candidates who have scored marks more than or equal to the qualifying marks mentioned for the SC, ST or PwD category of that paper. Other candidates will not get a scorecard for GATE 2025.
The scorecard will contain the marks obtained by the candidate in each section of the exam, the overall score, and the All India Rank (AIR). Applicants must note that the scorecard will be released only for those who will clear the cut-off score.
Qualifying in GATE does not guarantee admission, scholarship, or a job. Admission to any institute is fully dependent on the admitting institute’s criteria for educational qualification. GATE 2025: Last year’s performance
Last year, over 8.26 lakh applications were received spanning over 30 test papers. Of these, 6,53,292 candidates appeared for the exam.
According to the cutoff 2024 for category and test paper, the total number of candidates who qualified in all GATE test papers in their respective categories (GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD) were 1,29,268.
In 2024, GATE had an increase of 23 percent in enrollment, as compared to 2023, about 6.70 lakh candidates registered for GATE for 29 papers, in total. Out of these, 5.17 lakh candidates appeared for the exam in more than 500 centres across the country with an overall attendance of about 77 percent.
