APSC CCE Prelims 2025 Notification Released: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the notification for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2025. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website, apsc.nic.in, starting from March 28. The application window will remain open until April 29, up to 5 pm, while the last date for fee payment is May 1 at 5 pm.
APSC CCE Prelims 2025: Eligibility
–Must be an Indian citizen
–Age limit: The person should be between 18 and 32 years as of January 2024. Age relaxation will be applied to the category
–The person should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute.
–The aspirant must be well spoken with Assamese language, or any other official associate or tribal language of the state.
–The student must be registered with the district employment office and must be an original inhabitant of the state.
The APSC application fee for general category candidates, including ex-servicemen, is Rs 297.20, which includes taxes and processing charges.
For SC, ST, and BPL candidates from all categories, PwBD (including ex-servicemen from respective categories), and women candidates, the application fee is Rs 197.20.

The APSC CCE preliminary examination will be held at multiple centres across Assam, including Amingaon, Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Biswanath Chariali, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Diphu, Goalpara, Golaghat, Guwahati, Haflong, Hailakandi, Hamren, Hatsingimari, Hojai, Jorhat, Kajalgaon, Kokrajhar, Majuli, Mangaldoi, Morigaon, Mushalpur, Nagaon, Nalbari, North Lakhimpur, Pathsala, Silchar, Sivasagar, Sonari, Sribhumi, Tamulpur, Tezpur, Tinsukia, and Udalguri.
The main examination will be conducted exclusively at the Guwahati Centre. However, APSC stated that the exam centers and dates may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
Additionally, the commission mentioned that the exact dates for the APSC CCE prelims and mains exams will be announced at a later stage.
The APSC CCE 2025 will be held in two phases: the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination, which comprises a written test and an interview/personality assessment. The preliminary exam includes two General Studies papers, each worth 200 marks. Candidates who clear this stage will proceed to the main examination.
The APSC CCE main exam consists of a written test, followed by an interview to evaluate the candidate’s personality, knowledge, and suitability for administrative positions.
The Commission’s website will provide an E-Admission Certificate containing the candidate’s Roll Number, examination venue, and schedule.
