Introduction

The IIST 2024 will be conducted in the month of July 2024 (for UG courses). The registration process will begin in the 3^rd Week of June 2024 which will continue till July 2024 (for UG courses). The admission process for PG courses will be based on the marks which are scored in the national level exams such as – GATE/ JEE/ UGC-NET/ JEST. However, the application for the candidates applying for the PG courses will begin in the 1^st Week of April 2024, continuing till the 1^st Week of May 2024.

The IIST 2024 is conducted by the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) and will be organizing a national level admission procedure for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various fields such as Engineering, Architecture, Science, and Arts. Admission to the IIST is highly competitive, and qualifying in this exam opens doors to quality education and opportunities in the field of Space Science. IIST, being an institute directly under the Department of Space, Government of India, has strong ties with ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). IIST 2024 – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for the IIST 2024 are required to fulfill certain eligibility criteria that are listed below.

For UG courses:

• Candidates should be an Indian citizen.
• Candidates who are OCI/PIO holders are also eligible.
• Candidates should have qualified 10+2 level examination from a recognized board.
• Candidates should be born on 1^st October 1999 or after i.e. should not be exceeding 24 years of age. However, 5 years of relaxation will be provided to the reserved category students.
• Candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 75% (65% for the reserved category candidates).
• Candidates should have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 10+2 level.
• Candidates are required to have a valid score in JEE Advanced 2024.

For PG courses:

• Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in B.E. / B. Tech/ M. Sc. from a recognized institution.
• Candidates should not exceed 32 years of age as on 2^nd May 2024. However, there will be an age relaxation provided to the reserved category candidates.
• Candidates are required to have a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% for the reserved category candidates).
• Candidates are required to have a valid score in JEST 2024 or GATE 2024.

IIST 2024 – Registration/Application Process

The registration and application process is conducted online and will begin in 3^rd Week of June 2024 (for UG courses) and 1^st Week of April 2024 (for PG courses) it will continue till July 2024.

Step – 1: Candidates are required to visit the official website – https://www.iist.ac.in and create a profile.

Step – 2: Candidates are then required to register themselves online through the website portal and follow the steps. After registration is done, candidates are then required to fill in the application form.

Step – 3: In the final step, candidates are then required to make the payment for the application form through online mode. However, the application fee is non-refundable.

IIST 2024 – Rank List & Cut Off

The official website of IIST will release rank list on 3^rd Week of May 2024 which will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in certain national level exams such as GATE, JEST, JEE Advanced, etc.
