Candidates must go through the following tentative schedule regarding IIST 2025:
The payment of the application fee can be made through the bank challan of SBI or Union Bank of India.
The application fee is non-refundable. NRI candidates can make the payment of the fee through the Demand Draft made in favour of “The Registrar IIST” payable at Thiruvananthapuram, India.

Eligibility for UG Courses (B.Tech)
Qualification: 12th or equivalent exam passed with 75% aggregate (65% marks for SC/ST & PwD).
Age Limit: General & OBC candidates must have been born on or after 1st October 1993 and SC/ST/PwD candidates must have been born on or after 1st October 1988.
Subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in 12th standard.
Examination: Must qualify for the JEE Main & JEE Advanced 2025 examinations.
Eligibility for PG Courses (M.Tech/MS)
Qualification: Students must hold BE / B.Tech / M.Sc / M.S. or equivalent degree securing at least 60%.
Age Limit: The age limit is 28 years as of the last date of receipt of the application. Age relaxation will be given to SC/ST & PwD candidates.
Examination: Must have a valid score in GATE / JEST / UGC NET in the relevant area.
The Steps for Downloading the IIST 2025 Admit Card are as follows
After Downloading the IIST 2025 Admit Card Candidates must take multiple copies of Printouts for Further Usage.
Mathematics: Statistics and Probability, Matrices and Determinants, Permutations and Combinations, Three Dimensional Geometry, Trigonometry, Vector Algebra, Continuity and Differentiability, Sets, Co-Ordinate Geometry, Integral Calculus, Limit, Relations and Functions, Mathematical Induction, Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations, and its Simple Applications etc.
Physics: Thermodynamics, Properties of Matter, Electromagnetism, Optics and Waves, Mechanics and laboratory-related questions.
Chemistry: Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, biomolecules, Physical Chemistry environmental chemistry, chemistry in everyday life and polymers.
The result of the Written Test/Interview of candidates will be published after the final interview. The IIST 2025 result will be published on the official site www.iist.ac.in
UG Programme:
The rank list shall be released by the authorities on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the JEE Advanced 2025 and marks obtained in the entrance test. The rank list will be generated for the candidates who have registered themselves online for admission to IIST and fulfil all the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities.
PG Programme:
The candidates shall be shortlisted for admission to IIST, on the basis of marks secured in the GATE / JEST / UGC NET examination in the relevant area for those who have applied online for admission to IIST. The candidates who qualify in the examination have to appear for the interview organized by the institution. The candidates must bring all the relevant documents in original while reporting for the interview.
Seat Reservation for IIST: The seat reservation for UG courses are as follows: Schedule Cast (SC) – 15%, Schedule Tribe (ST) – 7.5%, Other Backward Cast (OBC) – NCL – 27%, Person with disability (PD) – 3%.
