GPAT 2024: Exam Date, Registration, Syllabus, Admit Card

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test, or GPAT, is an annual national entrance exam.  This test, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), makes admittance to M. Pharma programs easier.

All AICTE institutes, the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), connected colleges, and other pertinent institutions accept GPAT scores, making them widely recognized.

In the second week of February 2024, the GPAT 2024 Application Form will be available.  In 2024, the GPAT examination is expected to take place during the second week of May 2024.  The candidates will also have access to the correctional institution in the second week of March 2024, according to the authority.

GPAT  2024 Eligibility Criteria-

You must be aware of the GPAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria to take the written exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) specifies the required GPAT eligibility criteria.

  • Nationality:

Applicants for the GPAT 2024 exam must be citizens of India. 

  • Age Restriction:

There is no upper or lower limit age prescribed for applying for the GPAT 2024 exam. 

  • Qualifications for Education:

The candidate needs to have passed the 10th  and 12th  grade exams, or an equivalent test, from an accredited school or board. 

To be qualified for GPAT 2024, a candidate for lateral entry into the pharmacy field must have completed the four years of their undergraduate degree.

Eligibility for Appearing Candidates-

  • Applicants may also apply for the admission exam if they are in their last year of a B.Pharma program.
  • Candidates who are in between 1st and 3rd year of B.Pharma are not eligible to appear in the entrance test.
  • Applicants who hold a B.Tech in Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology, or its equivalent, are not permitted to apply.

Qualification as a Scribe or Reader.

The scribe or reader must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

  • Candidate should not have completed 19 years of age as of 27th January 2024. It is not advisable to engage in academic tutoring or test preparation.
  • The applicant shouldn't be a relative or friend.
  • The candidate should have an academic qualification lower than the candidate.

Note: At the allocated exam centre, the scribe needs to show his proof of age.

In case the above criterion is not followed, the scribe will not be permitted to assist the candidate.

GPAT  2024 Application Process-

Online access will be provided for the GPAT 2024 application form. In the second week of February 2024, the GPAT 2024 Application Form will be available. The 1st week of March 2024 will be the deadline for applying.

Steps to apply in GPAT 2024-

  • Check out the official website- https://gpat.nta.nic.in/
  • Applicants must register by providing their mobile number and email address.
  • Applicants must complete the application form by providing personal, educational, and other information.
  • Upon completing the form, the candidate must select "Save and Preview."
  • Upload a scanned copy of your photo, between 10 and 200 KB in size, and a signed copy, between 4 and 30 KB.
  • Make an online payment for the application fee.
  • Save the application form printout for your records.

GPAT  2024 Admit card-

The GPAT Admit Card will be available online. The candidate must enter their registration number and birthdate to download their hall pass. It will be released in 4th week of March 2024.

Steps to  download GPAT admit card 2024-

  • Visit  the official website- https://gpat.nta.nic.in/
  • Click on the "GPAT admit card" link.
  • Go to the login section.
  • Enter your password and email ID.
  • Next, press the button for login.
  • Carefully review the details on the admit card.
  • Download it & take a print copy of it for further reference. 

GPAT 2024 Syllabus-

The GPAT 2024 Syllabus will assist candidates in understanding what subjects to cover and which to avoid. The NTA will specify the GPAT syllabus.

GPAT  2024 Result-

The GPAT results will be made available online around the 4th week of April 2024. For eligible applicants, the merit list will be prepared by the authority. A candidate must provide their password and roll number to view their results.

The processes listed below must be followed by the candidate to download the GPAT result.

  • Visit  the official website- https://gpat.nta.nic.in/
  • Enter your password and user ID to log in.
  • Click on the "GPAT 2024 result" link. Applicants will be taken to a portal where their results are available for download.
  • Now, enter your roll number.
  • GPAT 2024 results will appear on the computer screen. Download the result and take a printout of it as it will be required during counseling.

Ques.1 What is the maximum age at which candidates may appear for the exam based on GPAT Eligibility 2024?

Ans.  An upper age limit for candidates is not specified in GPAT Eligibility 2024. Candidates may appear for the exam at any age.  However, they need to make sure that they fulfil the rest of the criteria before appearing for the exam. 

Ques.2 Can foreign nationals who meet the requirements for GPAT Eligibility 2024 appear in the exam?

Ans. Foreign nationals are not permitted to participate in the GPAT 2024, according to GPAT Eligibility 2024. Students must only be Indian citizens by birth. It is recommended that candidates review their eligibility before registering for GPAT 2024.
