IIITDM Kurnool is the youngest fully funded Central IIIT established by the Govt. of India in 2014-15 under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act 2014. The permanent campus is located at Jagannathagattu in Kurnool district of AP. Admissions are merit-based on the scores of JEE Main followed by JoSAA and CSAB Counselling. IIITDM has 4 branches CSE, AIDS, ECE and ME. The Institute is one of the 3 Design and Manufacturing IIITs along with Jabalpur and Kancheepuram. Apart from the B. Tech programmes, the Institute has Integrated programs, M. Tech and PhD as well. There are nearly 900 students currently studying at IIIT-K across all disciplines. B. Tech in CSE, ME, and ECE offers specialization in Design and Manufacturing. The campus is under construction for the 2nd phase. In February 2024, the campus was virtually inaugrated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Prof. BS Murty (Director, IIT Hyderabad) is the officiating Director of our College. Since it has been only 10 years of establishment of IIIT-K, the overall placements and campus life is still not at par with other IIITs and NITs. More...

"EXPERIENCE OF IIITDM KURNOOL WHERE YOU CAN FIND ANYTHING"

Course: B.E / B.Tech (Computer Science and Engineering)
Recommends this college
IIITDM Kurnool provides a great academic experience with a strong focus on practical learning and projects. The faculty is supportive, and there are ample opportunities for internships and placements. The campus has a close-knit community, and you can explore various interests through clubs and events. However, the campus is still developing, and some aspects like food options and infrastructure could be improved. It's also a bit isolated from the city, which means you’ll need to plan trips for a change of pace. Overall, the college offers a solid foundation for both academic and personal growth. My advice to aspirants: work hard, stay proactive, and make the most of the resources and opportunities available. The college experience here is what you make of it! More...
