The eligibility criteria of JCECE is set by JCECEB for candidates aspiring for the entrance exam. JCECE eligibility criteria 2025 includes details related to nationality, domicile, academic qualification, age, category etc. JEECE 2025 is likely to be held in offline mode in the third week of May. Candidates must check JCECE 2025 eligibility criteria before filling the application form. As per the eligibility criteria of JCECE, candidates who have passed class 12 or any other equivalent examination with 45% aggregate (40% in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) are eligible to appear in the entrance examination. Only those candidates who will fulfill the JEECE eligibility criteria 2025 will be able to take admission in the participating institutes in Jharkhand. Candidates who wish to appear in JEECE 2025 for admission in around 16 participating institutes in Jharkhand must read the eligibility criteria before applying for the same. JEECE eligibility criteria 2025 is given below.
Academic qualification - JCECEB has prescribed JCECE eligibility criteria 2025 related to academic requirements that candidates needs to fulfill. To be eligible for JCECE 2025, students must satisfy the following requirements:
Age limit – The age requirement for various B.Tech programs is given below:
Residential criteria – Applicant must be a citizen of India and a local/ permanent resident of Jharkhand. Candidates applying for JEECE 2025 have to submit the permanent or local resident certificate in proper format in original at the time of JCECE counselling 2025. The certificate must be issued by the competent authority such as Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State.
Note: Residential certificates issued by any other authority will not be considered for admission.
Candidates must have passed I.S.C / 10+2 or any other equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry
Candidates must have scored at least 45% aggregate (40% in case of reserved category candidates) in the above subjects taken together
Candidates applying for B.Tech (Dairy Technology) must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English in Class 12 examination
Candidates opting for B.Tech (Dairy Technology) must have secured at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together
Physical requirements - The Board recommends each candidate to be medically fit. Medical Check-up will be conducted by JCECEB for admission. The selection will be done by the Board/Institution after the check-up. Only physically fit and eligible candidates will be given admission to various courses.
