Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority for admissions into various BTech (Agriculture Engg), BPharm / BSc (Forestry, Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary Science, etc.)
KCET examination 2024 is to be conducted in April. It consists of 4 papers viz., Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Going by the past year's trend, each paper would comprise of 60 questions with one mark allotted for each correct answer and no negative marking. Completing your syllabus is just not enough for the preparations, you should also have a look at the previous year's question papers which are equally important to solve. By solving the question papers you will get an idea about the exam pattern, and level of difficulty and will be able to keep a track of your preparation level. Practicing the KCET sample papers will help candidates in recognizing and working on their weak areas.
It is better to practice a test or mock test as per the test timing. For example, if the exam is conducted between 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, then practice by giving online tests during that time so you will get acquainted with the atmosphere of duration and your own exam speed. Aspirants are advised not only to divide their subjects as per the syllabus but divide the internal units as well. For example, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, all these subjects has divisions in topics. Some divisions are more important than others. Candidates need to identify which units have regularly appeared in the exam. This task can be achieved by solving the previous year's question paper and mock test.
