KCET exam pattern 2024 will cover questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, based on the First and Second PUC syllabi prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. The Common Entrance Test will be held on TWO days in FOUR different sessions for four subjects. and will be held for a total of 180 marks. The exam duration for each paper of KCET 2024 is 80 minutes. KCET 2024 will be conducted in April for B.Tech programs and the language test will be conducted in April. As per the KCET exam pattern, the test will be held in both English and Kannada language, and candidates have to take the exam in the opted language. There is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted questions in KCET 2024.
Candidates are advised to have an understanding of the KCET 2024 exam pattern so as to enable them to plan a proper strategy in their preparation for KCET 2024. Following are the details of the KCET exam pattern 2024
Mode of Examination: KCET 2024 is an offline examination, i.e., it will be held in pen and paper mode.
Type of Questions: The paper consists of objective type multiple choice questions. Each question contains four options out of which only one response is correct.
Total Number of Papers: KCET 2024 will cover units from the following subjects at PUC Level.
Distribution of marks: The maximum marks for each paper is 60.
Marking scheme: Each multiple choice question will carry 1 mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted answers.
Duration: Time allowed to complete each paper is 1 hour 20 minutes. The exam schedule and time of KCET 2024 will be updated on this page as soon as KEA announces the same.
