JNU CEEB is a National level entrance exam, which is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi on behalf of the participating universities every year. It is known as the Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination (CEEB). The JNU CEEB is held for taking admission to the M.Sc. in Biotechnology, M.Sc. in (Agri.) Biotechnology & M.V.Sc and M.Tech in Biotechnology for the first year. Candidates can get details about JNU CEEB 2025 eligibility.
MSc (Biotechnology)
The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, with a minimum of 55% marks in any of the following disciplines - Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, BSc (Physician Assistant Course - 4 years) or Medicine (MBBS)/ Dental (BDS).
MSc (Agriculture)/M Veterinary Science)
The applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, with a minimum of 55% marks in any of the following disciplines - Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH), Agriculture, Horticulture or Forestry, Dairy Technology, B Tech (Biotech), B Tech (Horticulture) or Sericulture, according to the requirement of the participating university.
M.Tech (Biotechnology)
The candidates must have a BE/BTech degree from a recognized university, with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in any of these disciplines - Chemical Engineering/Biochemical Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology, Leather Technology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, B Pharma, Chemical Technology, or MSc. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biophysics, Microbial Genetics and Bioinformatics. (Also BTech/ BE in Electrochemistry, Bioengineering and MSc in Chemistry & Physics in case of Anna University and MSc in Bioengineering in case of West Bengal University of Technology)
As for the reservation of seats under different categories, it is 15% for SC, 7% for ST and 3% for physically handicapped.
