Recommends this college
As a current CSE student at Coochbehar Government Engineering College (CGEC), I can say the experience has been a mix of learning and growth. The college may not have all the high-end facilities like big-name institutes, but it’s improving every year.

Campus Facilities: The campus of CGEC is peaceful and spacious, located a bit away from the main town, which gives it a quiet learning environment. The greenery around makes the atmosphere calm and refreshing, especially during the early mornings and evenings. The classrooms are decent, though not very modern. Most rooms have projectors, and efforts are being made to improve smart classroom facilities.
Campus Life: Campus life at CGEC is a mix of studies, fun, and a lot of memories.Hostel life is good, and whether it's late-night group studies, small birthday celebrations, or random cricket matches, there’s always something going on.The campus itself is calm and green, which makes it a nice place to relax in between classes.
Faculty: The faculty members in the CSE department at CGEC are supportive and knowledgeable. Most of them have good academic backgrounds and explain the concepts clearly in class. They are approachable and helpful, especially when it comes to doubts or project guidance. Some professors are strict, but it’s usually because they want students to stay disciplined and focused.
Placements: When it comes to internships and placements, CGEC is gradually improving, especially in the CSE department. While we don’t have as many big companies visiting the campus as some top-tier colleges, there are decent opportunities if you’re proactive.
