TS EdCET Web Counselling 2017 begins at edcet.tsche.ac.in

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has released the certificate verification and web counselling dates for Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS EdCET-2017) on the official website, the link for which is edcet.tsche.ac.in

As per the notice, the certificate verification and web counselling process  will take place from September 7 to September 15.

Web counselling:

The web counselling will be held for five subjects including English, physical science, mathematics, biological science and social studies. Each day, the couselling would begin from 9 am. Meanwhile, the counselling for special category candidates will take place from September 7 to September 10.

The Council further stated that mere attendance of web counselling does not guarantee candidates a seat. A processing fee of Rs 600 (Rs 500 for SC/ST) needs to be paid along with the tuition fee as fixed by the government.

List of documents required for verification process:

  1. TS EdCET Rank Card
  2. TS EdCET Hall Ticket
  3. All Study Certificates from Class 9 to graduation
  4. Degree Certificate and memorandum of marks
  5. Intermediate Memo-cum pass Certificate
  6. SSC or its equivalent marks memo
  7. Residence Certificate
  8. Transfer Certificate
  9. Aadhaar Card
  10. Income Certificate issued on or after 01.04.2017
  11. Caste Certificate issued by Competent Authority
  12. PH/CAP/NCC/Sports/Minority Certificate- TS EdCET rank card and hall ticket

Important note:

Help Line Centres will verify the biometric details provided by the candidates during the exam time of TS EdCET 2017 and the Council stated that it is compulsory to attend certificate verification.

Processing fee:

Candidates need to pay the requisite processing fee at the time of web counselling i.e. Rs 600 for unreserved category and Rs 500 for SC/ST.

About the exam:

The examination is conducted by the Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) to select candidates for admission to BEd (2 years) regular course in the Colleges of Education in Telangana for the academic year 2017-2018
