Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell on Thursday said that the Common Admission Process (CAP) for BMS/BBM/BCA/BBA courses will begin a day after the result of the second entrance test that will be out tentatively on August 28.
According to the notification issued by the CET Cell, the online registration will close on September 6 and a provisional merit list will be out on September 9. After that students will get two days for submission of grievances and the final merit list will be out on September 13.
After appearing for the second CET for admission to these popular professional courses was held on Sunday, candidates were awaiting clarity on admission to BMS/BBM/BCA/BBA which are already prolonged for the academic year 2024-25, due to changes in the admissions process.
From this academic year, admission to these popular undergraduate (UG) courses — Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) are based on CET, unlike the conventional practice of considering Class 12 marks.
Maharashtra CET Cell held the first CET for admission to these courses on May 29 for which over 55,000 students appeared. Following multiple complaints that many students missed on the exam due to lack of awareness about the changes, the CET Cell in June announced one more CET for admission to these courses, which was held on August 4. A total of 49,225 candidates registered for this examination, including 19,430 women.
