UPCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate Courses (B.Tech /B.Pharm /B.Arch /BHMCT /BFAD /BFA/B.Des):

Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. NRI candidates and foreign nationals may also apply for certain seats reserved for them.

Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for most undergraduate courses. However, for admission to the first year of B.Arch., the candidate must have completed 17 years of age as of December 31 of the admission year.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Tech/B.Pharm:  Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
  • Arch: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and obtained at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
  • BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/B.Des:Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any discipline.

(Postgraduate Courses (MBA/MCA/M.Tech/M.Pharm):

Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. NRI candidates and foreign nationals may also apply for certain seats reserved for them.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for postgraduate courses.

Educational Qualifications:

  • MBA: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized institution.
  • MCA: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or at the graduate level.
  • Tech: Candidates must have a B.Tech/B.E. degree or its equivalent in the relevant field.
  • Pharm: Candidates must have a B.Pharm degree or its equivalent.

UPCET 2025 Application Process

Step 1: Registration

UPCET 2025 Admit card

The UPSEE 2025 Admit Card for CUET UG will be released in the second week of May 2025, and the CUET PG admit card will be available in the first week of March 2025. Candidates who have properly completed the application form and paid the fee will receive the UPSEE (UPCET) 2025 Admit Card.

UPCET 2025 Syllabus

The UPCET 2025 syllabus for the CUET UG/PG entrance examination differs for each course. The syllabus for undergraduate courses will encompass topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as covered in the 12th grade.

For postgraduate admissions, the syllabus will cover topics from the specific subjects studied during graduation.

Mathematics: Algebra, Probability, Trigonometry, Co-ordinate Geometry, Calculus, Vectors, Dynamics and Statics, etc.

Physics: Measurement, Motion in one dimension, Gravitation, Oscillatory motion, Mechanics of solids and fluids, heat and thermodynamics, Wave, Electrostatics, Laws of Motion, Motion in two dimensions, Rotation of a rigid body about a fixed axis, Linear Momentum and collisions, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Current, Magnetism in Matter, wave optics, etc.

Chemistry: Atomic Structure, Colligative Properties of Solution, Periodic Table, Thermochemistry, General Organic Chemistry, Isomerism, Polymers, Chemical Bonding, Redox Reactions, Chemical Equilibrium and Kinetics, Acid-Base Concepts, Colloids, Carbohydrates, etc.

Biology: Origin of Life, Mammalian Anatomy, Animal Physiology, Plant Cell, Protoplasm, Ecology, Ecosystem, Genetics, Organic Evolution, Mechanism of Organic Evolution, Human Genetics and Eugenics, Applied Biology, important phyla, etc.

UPCET 2025 Exam Pattern

The UPCET 2025 exam pattern is designed to assess candidates' knowledge and skills across various subjects relevant to the courses offered. Here are the key details regarding the exam pattern:

For UG Courses (CUET UG):

  • Mode of Exam: The examination will be held through online CBT mode.
  • Type of Questions: The paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Sections: There will be three sectionSection IA (13 languages), Section IB (20 languages), Section II (27 domain specific subjects) & Section III (general test).
  • Medium: The exam will be offered in 13 languages Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
  • Time Duration: The duration of exam for slot I will be 3 hours and 15 minutes and for slot II it will be 3 hours and 45 minutes.
  • Marking scheme: For every correct answer, 5 marks will be given and -1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

For PG Courses (CUET PG):

  • Mode of exam: The exam will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
  • Language: Paper will be held in Hindi & English (bilingual) except for language and Sahitya papers.
  • Number of Questions: There are total 100 questions in the paper.
  • Marking scheme: For every correct answer candidate will get 4 marks and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.

UPCET 2025 Cut- Off

The UPSEE (UPCET) Cutoff, which stands for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination Cutoff, is the minimum rank necessary to secure admission in a specific college and course.
