UGC NET 2025 Application Form

Candidates can fill UGC NET 2025 application form via online mode at the official website of the CBSE.

  • Fill out the application form without leaving any blank.
  • An Aadhaar card is necessary to apply for UGC NET 2025.
  • Upload the scanned photograph and signature at the given space.
  • Pay the necessary application fee and apply.
  • Take a printout of the confirmation page or filled application form for future reference.

UGC NET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria:

For Junior Research Fellowship:

Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 28 years as of 1st January 2025.

Relaxation: 5 years of relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD category candidates. Relaxation will also be given to the candidates having research experience. Candidates possessing an LL.M. degree will be eligible for 3 years of relaxation in age.

Qualification Eligibility:

Qualifying Examination: Master’s or equivalent degree from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC.

Subjects: The qualifying examination must be passed in subjects like Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science &Applications, Electronic Science etc.

Minimum Marks: The percentage of marks required in the qualifying examination is 55% (50% marks in the case of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD categories).

Relaxation: Relaxation of 5% marks in qualifying examination shall be given to Ph.D degree holders whose master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991.

For Assistant Professor:

Age Limit: No prescribed upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

  • CBSE UGC NET 2025 exam will comprise three papers i.e. Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III.
  • Paper I is compulsory for appearing in Paper II and Paper-III.
  • All the questions of Paper-I and Paper-II will be compulsory to attend.
  • The entrance test will be held offline on the OMR sheet.
  • There will be multiple-choice questions in the test.
  • There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

UGC NET 2025 Syllabus

The syllabus of National Eligibility Test (NET) is different for different subjects. The subjects included in NET is more than 94. It is difficult to provide the syllabus of all the subjects here. However, the subject-wise syllabus will be provided soon. Candidates must prepare as per the syllabus prescribed by the CBSE

UGC NET 2025 Admit Cards

After filling the applicant details in the application form correctly, the UGC NET admit card becomes available online at the official website (http://www.cbsenet.nic.in/) of the University from the first week of December 2018 (tentative), Without the admit card, an applicant is not allowed to enter the examination hall.

How to download the UGC NET 2025 Admit card:

  • Visit the official website of UGC NET.
  • Click on the link provided to get the UGC NET admit card.
  • Enter the username and password details.
  • After all the details are filled up. Download the admit card take a printout of it and keep it safe.

UGC NET 2025 Results

All the candidates who will appear in the exam will get their respective results on the official website probably in the month of JULY 2025. Those who will achieve the qualifying marks will be able to apply for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship.

UGC NET 2025 Counselling

To appear in NET counselling, candidates must abide by the following points:

  • CBSE UGC NET 2025 counselling will take place in three rounds on three different dates.
  • Candidates need to confirm the ranking based on the results declared by UGC.
  • Candidates need to confirm their availability for counselling on the date mentioned on the official website.
  • Before a candidate appears for counselling he/she needs to decide the course of choice.

Documents required at the time of counselling

  • Original counselling letter
  • Bank draft to be taken along, a candidate can process it as per the guidelines mentioned on the UGC NET website
  • Original 2 copies of 10th and 12th certificates
  • Scorecard
  • Original Admit card
  • Original degree or the provisional certificate if the candidate is appearing
  • Community certificate (SC/ST/OBC/Other) signed by the authorized authority
  • Medical documents mentioned on the UGC NET application form
  • 4-6 passport-size photographs colour and black and white

UGC NET 2025 Preparation

  • Candidates must have basic fundamental and advanced knowledge in the subject.
  • Candidate must be aware of the syllabus.
  • Applicant keeps solving the model test papers.
  • Each topic must not take more than 3 days to be understood.
  • At least revise four to five times.
