DET Odisha 2025 Diploma Entrance Test used to be a state-level entrance test which was conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Odisha state for admissions into the fields of engineering, non-engineering, technology, film, and TV courses. Admissions are done through this DET Odisha entrance test up to 2025, from 2025 the written test was not conducted but the admissions are done through the merit list which is based on the SSC / Class X marks and percentages.

DET Odisha 2025 Eligibility:

Eligibility for admission to 1st-semester Diploma in Engineering / Technology:

1) Candidates must have passed the 10+2 / HSC examination or SSC / 10^th class from Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

2) Candidate must secure a minimum aggregate of 35% marks in 10^th standard in English, Maths and Science subjects.

3) Candidate must be passed with 30% of marks in each subject of qualifying examination.

4) Minimum age limit is 14 years, for 1^st semester diploma courses in engineering except mining and drilling.

5) Minimum age limit is 16 years, for 1^st semester drilling and mining courses.

6) There is no upper age limit applicable for any course.

Eligibility for admission to 1st semester Diploma in Non-Engineering Courses:

Non-Engineering Courses: Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HM & CT) / Modern office Management (MOM)/Beauty Culture/Pharmacy

1) Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any discipline from Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha with minimum aggregate marks of 35%.

2) Candidate must be passed with 30% of marks in each subject of qualifying examination.

3) Minimum age limit is 16 years for HM & CT/MOM.

4) Minimum age limit is 14 years for Beauty culture.

5) There is no upper age limit.

6) Candidates must have completed 10+2/10^th standard with 35% aggregate marks in English, Math and Science subjects, for beauty culture courses.

7) Candidates must have passed 10+2 educational qualification with 35% marks in PCM/PCB subjects for admission to first year diploma courses in pharmacy.

Eligibility for Admission to 3rd Semester (Lateral Entry) Diploma in Engineering/Technology:

1) Candidates must pass 10+2 or its equivalent examination with PCM subjects from Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha.

2) Candidates with 35% of marks in 10^th std or SSC from BSE, Odisha are eligible.

3) Minimum age limit is 14 years for this course.

4) There is no upper age limit.

Eligibility for 1st Semester Diploma in Film & TV Courses (Cinematography/Sound & TV Engineering/ Film and Video Editing):

1) Candidates must pass Higher Secondary Examination with Science as their stream from state board / CBSE / ICSE with at least 35% aggregate marks, for cinematography and sound & TV engineering 1^st year diploma courses.

2) Candidates must pass 10+2 in any discipline from state board / ICSE / CBSE with minimum of 35% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination, for Film and Video editing course.

3) The candidate’s age must be in between 16 to 28 years as on 1/6/2025.

4) For SC/ST, the upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years.

DET Odisha 2025 Application Form

Mode of Payment:

Application fee can be paid through below given modes

1) Online Mode: Debit / Credit Card/ Net Banking.

2) Offline Mode: e-Challan at any Branch of AXIS Bank/ IDBI Bank.

Documents/Details Required:

i) Personal and academic details.

ii) Valid e-mail ID and Contact Number.

iii) Scanned image of photograph with 100 KB size.

iv) Scanned image of signaturewith 30 KB size.

v) The images should be scanned in jpg format.

How to Apply:

1) Candidates who wish to apply for DET Odisha 2025 must apply through online only. Candidates have to visit official website.

2) Candidates have to enter required details to register.

3) Login and Fill details in the application form.

4) Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature with given specifications.

5) Pay the application fee using above given modes.

6) Take a printout of the application and keep it safe for future use.

DET Odisha 2025 Merit List:

From 2016, DET Odisha written test was not conducted but the admissions are done through the merit list which is based on the SSC / Class X marks and percentage. The admission will be done on the basis of merit that will be prepared by the score of candidates in quantifying board exam. Merit list will be announced in the last week of May 2025 tentatively. The result and rank card can be downloaded online through the official website.

DET Odisha 2025 Counselling

DET Odisha 2025 Counselling will be scheduled in the month of July tentatively. Candidates will be called strictly according to the merit list which will be prepared from their marks and percentage. To participate in the counselling, minimal amount of Rs 200/- will be charged from the candidates. There will be a verification round where candidates eligibility will be verified. Candidates have to select the desired colleges through web options.

As per the directives of government, the seats are reserved for the candidates of Odisha state only and the reservation is as follows:

DET Odisha CET 2025 General Instructions:

1) The Candidates, who wish to apply for DET Odisha CET 2025, must apply online only.

2) It is advised to visit your allotted Counselling Centre.

3) Candidates are required to report before the scheduled start time of the counseling for the verification & security check.

4) Candidates have to bring a print out of the filled-in application form, counseling fee, passport-size photographs, original certificates, id proof, etc with them for further use.

5) There will be certificate verification where the candidate's original documents must be produced.

6) Candidates may have to submit the xerox copies of documents required, so candidates are advised to keep minimum of 3 sets of xerox copies of certificates, id and address proof, application form, etc with them.
