The centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test (CENTAC JET) Exam is conducted by the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry. Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test is structured for entrance into the first year of BTech, BDS, BVSc & AH, BPharm, BSc (Nursing), BPT, and BSc (MLT) degree courses offered at assorted government-sponsored colleges. Admittance to the "Government Quota Seats" in private and unaided professional colleges, together with the minority colleges, will be as per the law/ regulation /order of the Government of India or the Government of Puducherry on the subject.

Admission to the above degree courses depends on the execution of the hopefuls in the Higher Secondary or equivalent board exam thereto and according to the NEET score for MBBS/BDS Courses. CENTAC 2025 admissions will be done based on the 12th standard (or equivalent) examination scores for Puducherry and Tamil Nadu candidates and JEE Main 2025 scores for other state candidates. The details with respect to the universities and the number of seats will be set aside at the time of counseling.

CENTAC JET 2025 Application Form

The online application form for CENTAC 2025 will be available for all eligible candidates tentatively from June 2025. It is important for all candidates to fill out and submit the application form successfully to participate in the admission process. The given steps can be followed by the candidates to fill out the online application form for CENTAC 2025.

Registration: the candidates will have to register themselves by submitting their name, date of birth, email id, and mobile number. A password also has to be created by the candidates for future login. The link to activate the created account will be sent to the registered email id of the candidates.

Payment of Application Fees: After successfully registering themselves, the candidates will have to pay the required application fees. The payment has to be done using an online method i.e., credit card/ debit card or net banking.

Filling of Application Form: The candidates will have to fill out the application form for CENTAC 2025 with the required information. Details related to the personal, academic, and contact information about the candidates will have to be submitted. All information should corresponding to the documents possessed by the candidates.

Uploading of Scanned Images: The candidates will have to scan their recent color photograph and upload it. The scanned photograph should be in JPG format and between 20 KB to 25 KB.

Submission of Online Application Form: After rechecking all of the details submitted, the candidates will have to submit the filled CENTAC 2025 application form before the final date.

Offline Submission of Filled Application Form Printout: The printout of the filled application form along with some other self-attested documents will have to be submitted to the CENTAC office. The candidates will also have to sign at the required place in the printout of the CENTAC 2025 application form. The following documents will have to be submitted along with the application form. The application number has to be mentioned on the top right-hand side of all the certificates.

CENTAC 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: For CENTAC 2025 admissions, the candidates should have qualified H.Sc (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination. An aggregate of minimum 45% marks (40% marks for OBC/ BCM/ MBC/ EBC/ BT/ SC candidates) should have been secured in Mathematics, Physics or any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology (Botany and Zoology).

Age: All candidates should be maximum of 21 years old as on July 1, 2025. A relaxation of 3 years will be given to SC candidates.

Attempts at Qualifying Examination: The candidates can appear for the qualifying examination maximum of two times. Scheduled Caste category candidates will be allowed to appear for the qualifying examination maximum of three times.

Selection Criteria: Candidates belonging to the Union Territory of Puducherry will be allotted seats based on their performance in the 12th standard (or equivalent) examination. CENTAC 2025 admissions to candidates from other states and Union Territories will be done based on their JEE Main 2025 scores.

Nationality: The candidates have to be of Indian nationality. However, French nationals residing in the UT of Puducherry and covered by the terms of the Treaty of Cession will also be eligible to participate in CENTAC 2025.

CENTAC JET 2025 Exam Syllabus as well a Paper Pattern:

  • The examination is scheduled in Pondicherry itself
  • The medium of paper will be English only
  • The question paper will be Objective type
  • There will be four options for all questions and candidates are required to select one out of them
  • At times short answers also provided in the question paper
  • There is a negative marking for wrong questions

There is a certain percentage of seats reserved for candidates belonging to a particular category. CENTAC 2025 reservation criteria provide vertical and horizontal reservation to many categories.

CENTAC 2025 Cutoff

The cut-off of CENTAC 2025, which is the minimum score that has to be obtained for admissions, will be prepared by the concerned authorities. Separate cut-off lists will be determined for candidates belonging to the reserved categories (General, SC, ST, OBC). The candidates will have to note that the cutoff will be different for each category and course selected. While preparing for the CENTAC 2025, a number of factors will be considered by the candidates. Those candidates who meet the cutoff of CENTAC 2025 will likely be more eligible for admission.

CENTAC 2025 Counselling

The selected candidates will have to download and print out their counseling letters. The venue and timings for the counseling of CENTAC 2025 will be present in the downloaded counseling venue. The same information will also be sent to the candidates through SMS and email. The candidates will be called in for CENTAC 2025 counseling according to their ranking in the merit list. Firstly, the candidates will have to pay the counseling fees of Rs. 750 (Rs. 350 for the SC/BT category) through online mode (credit card/debit card/NEFT). After payment of counseling fees, the candidates will have to enter their choices of college and course for admission. Allotment of seats will be done on the basis of the ranking of the candidates and his/her selected options. The candidates will have to download their provisional allotment order and report at the allotted institute to confirm their admission.
