In 1991, with the support of the Cummins Diesel (India) Foundation, Cummins College became the first women's engineering college in India. Maharshi  Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS) is the parent institution of Cummins College. To empower women via education, "Bharat Ratna" Recipient Maharshi Karve founded MKSSS in 1896. 

College is located in Pune city which is known as ‘Oxford of the East’. CCOEW is recognized for its rigor in academics and dedicated faculty, successful alumnae being its outcome. CCOEW is well-known for its ability to source high-calibre candidates for the business and enjoys a solid affiliation with it. The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra state, Mumbai, and the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, have approved MKSSS's Cummins College of Engineering for Women. 

Five undergraduate programs, two graduate programs, and a doctorate program are available at Cummins College. The Ph.D., postgraduate, and undergraduate programs are all associated with Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Cummins College of Engineering For Women – Eligibility Criteria 

B.Tech

The candidate must have passed the HSC or an equivalent exam, with Physics and Mathematics required, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational. The candidate must have obtained at least 50% (or at least 45% for candidates from Maharashtra State who belong to reserved class categories and Persons with Disability) in the above subjects taken together.
