For the academic session 2025-25, the exam will be conducted on January 2025. Candidates are shortlisted based on their TISSNET score for the next round of Pre-Interview Tests (PIT) and Personal Interviews (PI). TISS campuses are located across various cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Tuljapur, and Guwahati. The following article is about TISSNET 2025 Eligibility.
a) Candidates should have successfully completed a Bachelor's or Master's Degree of a minimum of 3 or 4 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. Some Masters Degree programmes will have additional/specific eligibility requirements. Candidates are advised to refer to program-specific eligibility criteria (given in the official website of TISSNET) for more details and to ensure that they satisfy such specific eligibility criteria.
b) Candidates who will successfully complete, in all respects, all the requirements of their final year eligible degree (including all examinations and internships, if applicable) by Monday, June 2025, are also eligible to apply.
c) Those candidates who are eligible to apply, but cannot submit the degree certificate and grade/mark sheet at the time of admission are required to submit these by September 2025, failing which their provisional admission will stand automatically cancelled without any further reference to the candidate. The onus will be on the candidate to submit the degree/provisional degree and grade/mark sheet by September 30, 2025. No further extension of the date will be allowed under any circumstances.
d) At the time of applying candidates studying in a 3-year degree program should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying in 4-year degree programs should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 6th semester.
e) Until a candidate submits her/his degree certificate and final mark/grade sheet as evidence of having successfully completed the eligibility criteria by the given date, the admission offered will remain provisional.
f) Eligibility, determined on the basis of information provided in the application, will be used for the final selection process. If the information provided by a candidate is found to be incorrect or misleading at any point in time, her/his candidature/admission will be summarily cancelled. The Institute shall also reserve the right to take any legal action as deemed fit for any such act of misrepresentation or false declaration.
g) Candidates shortlisted for personal interview are required to produce an original certificate and mark sheet on the date of the personal interview, to verify that the candidate is eligible for admission. Those who are in the final year but are eligible to apply (as per clause b, above) are required to produce the mark sheets of all previous semesters (excluding the final semester) for verification on the date of the personal interview. Candidates who do not bring the aforesaid certificates in original shall not be allowed to appear for the interview.
