 TISSNET 2025 Application Form

 For the academic session 2025-25, the exam will be conducted in January 2025. Candidates are shortlisted based on their TISSNET score for the next round of Pre-Interview Tests (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI). TISS campuses are located across various cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Tuljapur, Guwahati, and a few more locations. TISSNET Registration can be done online or offline mode. Candidates can apply for a maximum of 3 programs at 2 different campuses of TISS. The TISSNET 2025 Application form starts in October and ends on 30 November 2019.

Instructions:

  1. To start the online application form, you have to register on the website using your email address.
  2. Please enter a correct working email address as the new registration link will be sent to this email id when you click on the ‘Register’ button.
  3. Please read the email carefully and follow the instructions to continue your application process.
  4. In case you do not receive an email, please check your ‘SPAM’ or ‘JUNK’ folder. If you still fail to find the email, please try registering again with a different email address.

 

General Instructions about applying:

  1. Candidates can apply for a maximum of three programs across any two of the TISS Campuses and other Centre locations. They are advised to make their choice of programs carefully after reading the program descriptions. Change of programs will not be allowed once admission is completed.
  2. Candidates are requested to carefully read through the eligibility criteria mentioned here before filling up the form.
  3. Unemployed candidates, whose parent’s / guardian’s annual income from all the sources for the Financial Year 2018-19 is less than Rs.2.5 Lakhs for SC/ST and Rs.1 lakh for OBC(NC) are required to pay Rs.250/- as Concessional Application Fee for each program. However, they should upload the necessary certificates.
  4. Candidates have to upload/attach relevant certificates strictly in the format mentioned here. Please refer to Table 1 for ‘Certificates / Documents to be uploaded. The Institute also takes steps to have the Caste/Tribe/Non-creamy layer/ Income certificates verified by the competent authorities before PIT-PI and post-admission and those found to have submitted manipulated certificates at any stage of their study will be asked to leave the program.
  5. The application fee for each study program is Rs.1030 (if being paid by Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking) or Rs.1000 + bank charges (if being paid through the bank by cash). Candidates are required to pay this amount for every program she/he applies for. For more details refer to the section 'Application fee payment' below. For SC/ST/OBC(NC) candidates, the application fee is Rs. 250/- per program + bank charges. (Please see Table 2 below). For SC/ST candidates, the application fee is Rs. 500/- per program + bank charges ( please see Table 2 below).
  6. A candidate can apply for multiple programs and pay for each of those programs in ONE online form. Candidates SHOULD NOT fill out more than one form. If a candidate is found to have filled out more than one online form, all her/his applications will be cancelled.

Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued after 01-04-2019 by the District Magistrate / Deputy Commissioner / Tahsildar. CERTIFICATES dated before April 1, 2019, will not be considered valid.

Note 1: Candidates applying through the online application form will have to upload the certificates mentioned above. Those who are submitting a hard copy of the application form should post along with the application form the above-mentioned documents attested by a School Headmaster or a Principal of College or a Gazetted Officer (refer to Reservation Section on the admission website). Requests received without the above Certificates will be rejected and no communication will be sent in this regard.

Note 2: SC/ST candidates whose annual family income is <=250000 (2.5 lac) and OBC(NC) candidates whose annual family income is <=100000 have to upload Income certificate for the Financial Year 2018-2019 issued by Revenue Officer

Notes: (i) In case of payment by cash deposit in an SBI branch, please note that the SBI will charge Rs. 50/- as their processing fee for each deposit, which cannot be adjusted against the application fee.

(ii) Payments made via demand draft, pay order or any mode other than the above modes is not acceptable and the application will be rejected. No communication to this effect will be sent to such candidates.

(iii) Candidates applying online will be asked to choose between two modes of payment 'Cash' or 'Payment Gateway' in the online application form. If the preferred mode of payment is 'Cash', a payment challan has to be downloaded from the 'Download Challan' tab. The payment challan will have 3 copies. Deposit the cash amount mentioned on the challan in any branch of State Bank Of India. The bank will return two copies of the challan (Student Copy and TISS Copy) with the banks seal, signature and journal number on it. Candidates have to scan the 'TISS Copy' of the challan, login back to the online application system and upload it.
