The National Institute of Design (NID) has declared the eligibility criteria of NID DAT 2025 for aspirants interested in appearing for the entrance exam. Admissions will be conducted for admissions to 100 seats across various B. Design programs. Before applying candidates should check the NID eligibility criteria. The NID 2025 eligibility criteria are a set of requirements that all candidates need to fulfill in order to be eligible for writing NID. The NID DAT (Prelims) 2025 will be held on 5th January.

For B.Des & GDPD Programme:

Age limit: The prescribed upper age limit is 20 years on or before 30 June 2025 (3 years relaxation for reserved category).

Qualifying Examination: Candidates who have Passed/appeared in the 12th examination from a recognized educational board are eligible to apply.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination have to submit proof of passing the examination at the time of admission.

For M.Des Programme:

Age limit: The maximum age limit is 30 years as of or before 30 June 2025. Relaxation of 3 years shall be given to reserved categories and 5 years relaxation for PWD candidates.

Qualifying Examination: Candidates who have passed/appeared bachelor’s degree in any discipline under the 10+2+4 (or more) system are eligible to apply.

Or a Diploma in design under a 10+2+4 system.

Or

Candidates who passed the bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) before July 2018 under the system 10+2+3 are eligible to apply.
