NEET SS COUNSELLING

NEET  SS 2026 COUNSELLING

NEET SS 2026 counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) in May 2027 through an online process. Only candidates who qualify NEET SS 2026 (by securing at least the 50th percentile in their specialty) will be eligible to participate.

The NEET SS 2026 counselling process will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) starting in May 2027, approximately one month after the result announcement. The NEET SS counselling is carried out online, where candidates who have qualified in the NEET SS 2026 exam must register, pay the counselling fee, and fill in their choices for preferred institutions and super specialty courses. The MCC will release a seat matrix for each counselling round, which serves as the basis for seat allotment.

Typically, there are multiple rounds of counselling—usually three to four—including a mop-up or stray vacancy round. Each round involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted institute. Candidates who do not secure a seat in the initial rounds or wish to upgrade to a better preferred seat can participate in subsequent rounds. State quota seats are usually filled through separate state counselling authorities, while the MCC handles All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
