ICFAI Business School (IBS) is set to conduct its Selection Process 2025 for MBA/PGPM admissions across its nine campuses. With a commitment to nurturing future business leaders, IBS has introduced an engaging and student-centric approach to selection. This year, a significant change in the process replaces the traditional Group Discussion with a Micro Presentation, allowing candidates to showcase their communication skills, analytical thinking, and leadership potential dynamically. The selection rounds are scheduled to take place from February 15 to February 24, 2025, at the IBS Hyderabad campus.
The IBS selection process is designed to go beyond academic scores—it evaluates an aspirant’s ability to think critically, articulate ideas effectively, and demonstrate leadership qualities. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of what to expect:
Your selection journey begins with an introductory session where senior directors, recruiters, and alumni provide insights into IBS’s 30-year legacy in management education. This session helps you and your parents/guardians understand the selection process and what IBS offers.
In this round, each candidate picks a number between 1 and 100, determining their presentation topic. You’ll have one minute to prepare and three minutes to present your ideas before a panel and fellow aspirants. If the topic seems challenging, you can opt for a change once. This exercise tests your ability to think on your feet, articulate ideas clearly, and present with confidence. Unlike a traditional Group Discussion, there are no follow-up questions—just a chance to make an impact through your presentation.
Following the Micro Presentation, the Personal Interview (PI) assesses your career goals, aspirations, and leadership potential. The panel isn’t just evaluating your answers but also your confidence, clarity of thought, and ability to express yourself effectively.
Academic performance plays a crucial role in the selection process, with scores from 10th, 12th, and graduation contributing 50% to the final selection weightage. This ensures a holistic evaluation of each candidate’s potential.
With a fair and well-structured selection process, IBS ensures that every aspirant gets an opportunity to prove their mettle and prepare for a thriving career in management.
