The AP LAWCET 2025 eligibility criteria mention minimum academic qualifications and age conditions required for pursuing the three-year LLB and five-year integrated LLB (BA LLB, BCom LLB, BBA LLB) programs.  AP LAWCET Exam Pattern 2025

Age Criteria

No age limits are currently applicable for AP LAWCET as per a ruling of the Hyderabad High Court in 2016. However, as per BCI’s revised age bar policy, candidates applying for five-year integrated law programmes need to be below 20 years of age and those belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories of Andhra Pradesh state shall be given a relaxation of two years on the upper age limit.

Nationality

Candidates should be Indian nationals and satisfy local/non-local status requirements as per the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974.

Non-Indian nationals may also apply if they satisfy the rules of the concerned Universities.

Academic Qualifications

For Five-Year Integrated Programmes-

  • Candidates should have cleared a two-year HSC/Intermediate or equivalent qualifying exam of state level in the 10+2 pattern.
  • Candidates should have secured at least 45 percent aggregate marks in the above exam.
  • SC/ST category candidates must have secured at least 40 percent aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

For Three-Year LLB Programmes-

  • Candidates should have secured their graduation degree of a minimum of three years in the 10+2+3 education pattern.
  • Candidates should have secured at least 45 percent aggregate marks in their qualifying degree.
  • If the candidate has less than 45 percent of aggregate marks in graduation, they should have passed any additional degree/ post-graduation with 45 percent marks.
  • SC/ST candidates must have secured at least 40 percent aggregate marks in their graduation/ post-graduation or any other additional degree examination.
