Jorhat Engineering College, located in Jorhat is one of the premier institutions of Assam. I got admitted in the year 2020 in Computer Science & Engineering and passed out in 2024. Overall, my college life experience was wholesome and full of new experiences. The first 2 semester, you will have hard times managing Academics but slowly , you all will like the journey.

Campus Facilities: JEC has almost all the necessary Infrastructure. The campus is bounded by a wall . It has 8 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels, 1 guest house as well. Moreover, it has A massive Auditorium, Gym, Library. JEC has its own SBI branch and an ATM

Campus Life: We have a annual college fest called Phoenix. It is of 3 days and full of activities and Fun all throughout the day and night. Around 50+ events takes place and students from across Assam participate in the events.

Faculty: The Faculties are considerably less in CSE branch but they are knowledgeable and helpful. They are very approachable and friendly. The curriculum is covered smoothly by the Professors and quality of education is moderate.

Placements: Students become eligible to sit for placements from 7th Semester. The placement season continues even after passing out . In 2024, around 60-70% placement rate. Some prominent companies include ITC, DISH TECHNOLOGY, TCS, COGNIZANT,PWC.
