One of the oldest Engineering colleges in Assam is known to produce around 300 engineers per four years. It has core branches like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Instrumentation. College campus is residential type having around 8 boys' hostel at present and two girls' hostel. The college is not every far from the main town. Communication and transportation is hassle free.

Campus Facilities: Inside the boundary of the college, one may find eight boys hostel and two girls hostel. Bank and police station is to be found in walking distance from the campus. ATM facilities available inside the campus. Canteen and auditorium is also there. Pre equipped labs according to govt standards.

Campus Life: Phoenix is the annual cultural fest and Techxetra is the annual technical fest organised every year. It is very lively and every student can enjoy and yet participate whole heartedly

Faculty: The professors are welcoming and friendly. However, they are strict at times. Most of the faculties have done their PHD's. If you don't understand they will assist you anytime.

Placements: IT companies like Capgemini, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro hire students from various branches by conducting their own test in the campus. Private companies like Dabur, Berger Paints , Dalmia cement do come frequently. Dream companies like OIL, Hindustan Unilever , Vendanta also hire students according to their need.

Start Up Incubator: Entrepreneur cell has been the startup club started in the college which encourage students and give knowledge about startups. Workshops are also held.
