Thapar University very well university established in 1956 and till date it is in the list of top colleges in North India among 100 engineering colleges in India and Thapar School of Management stands at 21st position. Thapar university is one fine university with a reputation of any other great college in the country but things are changing swiftly. The ranking of students enrolled is going down every year. Thapar university is one of the most prestigious universities of North India. There was a time when getting into Thapar university was a big achievement and a dream for students but with ever increasing student intake and constantly hiking academic fees, people’s opinion about Thapar has changed alot. Within couple of years, the intake has been increased by almost 50%.

Campus Facilities: We are provide with the best of the infrastructure.The newly built smart classrooms provide every facility that a student requires. They contain high speed wifi, well equipment infrastructure. The hostels are very well maintained and some of them offer fabulous food .but in some of them food is not upto the mark.Students are offered different hostels based on the year of study and contain air conditioned and non air conditioned,single and multiple sharing. One thing that I love in my college is the huge library with contains thousands of books and is perfect place for students to study in day as well as whole night.

Centralized ACs and lifts. Professors are somewhat I liked the most. Have new techniques and respond to even foolish doubts as well. The playing area is beautifully designed. Synthetic tracks, badminton court, tennis(hard). Coaches are also quite funny at times and strict too.The rules and regulation are strict when it comes to discipline. Students not allowed to leave campus after 7 pm to 6 am provided they have to email their particulars to the caretaker. The cos area or a hangout place is made in the form of semicircle arc with great a places to visit. Like juju's cafe, Pizza nation etc.

Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and none less than the PhD degree .they are very well trained and offline curriculum Is the best. Even the online curriculum is also upto the mark bit sometimes we face issues like in handling so many quizzes and exams. The grade culture in online examination is not upto the mark.The course curriculum is perfectly okay and I am totally satisfied. The semester exams cover everything which is covered in class in offline mode .bit it varies a lot in online mode .

Placements: Hey peeps . So starting with, my branch is computer engineering (COE) which contains around 30 subgroups, comprising of around 800 students.This branch is one the oldest branches in thapar university and is known for best placements in the entire college. During the placements in 2020, around 246 companies companies visited and placed around 80 % of students. The top companies that visited were Amazon,Microsoft, John Morgan,Deloitte and many more .More than 20 % got internship with average package in my course.
