• NATA is basically intended to measure the aptitude of the Candidates for a specific field of study i.e., Architecture through assessment of cognitive skills, visual perception, and aesthetic sensitivity tests, logical reasoning, and critical thinking ability, etc.,
The following techniques are used to assess the aptitude of the candidates in NATA 2025:
• Diagrammatic Reasoning: This technique is to test the ability of logical reasoning using diagrams and scenarios
• Numerical Reasoning: Tests mathematical ability through simple problems.
• Verbal Reasoning: Assesses the ability in verbal logic.
• Inductive Reasoning: This technique is intended to test the ability to see patterns and analyze given data.
• Situational Judgement: This technique tests the ability problem-solving ability.
• Logical Reasoning: Intended to test the ability to recognize patterns, sequences, or relationships between shapes and imagery.
• Abstract Reasoning: This technique will assess General Knowledge and the ability to utilize knowledge in new situations.
• Questions are expected from various topics that assess basic concepts in mathematics, Physics and Geometry, Language and Interpretation, Elements and Principles of Design, Aesthetic Sensitivity, Colour Theory, Lateral Thinking, Logical Reasoning, Visual Perception and Cognition, Graphics, and Imagery, Building anatomy and architectural vocabulary, basic Techniques of building construction and knowledge of the material, General Knowledge and current affairs, etc. and not necessarily limited to these topics.
• On the scheduled date, Admit Cards will be made available on the official website of NATA 2025.
• Candidates are required to download a soft copy of the Admit Card and must carry a hard copy to the Test Centre along with a personal Photo Identity Card (Voter’s Card/PAN card/Aadhar Card/Driving Licence).
• Candidates are required to retain the Admit Card in good condition till the completion of the admission process.
Candidates have to secure at least 25% of marks in Part-A Multiple Choice Questions part i.e. 30 marks out of 120 marks and 25% of marks in Part-B Drawing part i.e. 20 marks out of 80 marks. Overall qualifying marks out of 200 will be based on post-exam statistics and at the discretion of the Council.
Score Card/Rank Card will be displayed online on the official website. Every Score Card will have the following data:
1. Scores received in the attempts (one, two, or three)2. For two Tests Score, the best of 2 shall be taken as the valid score3. For three Tests Score, the average of the 2 best scores will be taken4. Qualified/Not qualified.
Score Card/Rank Card shall be valid for the academic session 2025/26.
All candidates would get a unique rank at the time of merit listing based on their marks. If more than one candidate gets the same marks, the tie is broken by applying the below logic:
1) Considering marks obtained in Mathematics test
2) If a tie still exists, fewer wrong answers in attempted ones in Mathematics tests will be considered.
3) If a tie still exists, marks obtained in Aptitude Test will be considered.
4) If a tie still exists, fewer wrong answers in attempted ones in the Aptitude test will be considered.
5) If a tie still exists, the earlier date of birth will be considered.
Result Format:
The result will be in three formats:
1) Marks obtained out of 200 in each section
2) Merit Listing: unique based on marks and tie-breaking rules mentioned above
3) Percentile score based on merit listing.
• As there is no centralized Counselling process through NATA 2025 for admission to B. Arch programs, candidates must apply for the participating Institutes/Colleges separately.
• Besides the eligibility criteria of COA, candidates must also fulfill the eligibility criteria of the respective participating Colleges/Institutes.
• Candidates who scored the highest NATA score will get admission to B. Arch in top Colleges/Institutes.
• All the participating institutes consider NATA scores along with the class 12th marks of the candidates
• Candidates must report at the institute as per the admission cut-off and get their documents verified in accordance with the counseling schedule.
