Established in 1957, the Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) in Madurai was established by the late Shri Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar. The college is affiliated to Anna University. It has received AICTE approval and NAAC accreditation. Numerous courses are available at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate levels at the college. B.E/B. Tech, B.Arch, M.E/M.Tech, M.S., M.Sc., M.C.A., and numerous other courses are offered by TCE Madurai.

With 4300 students, 200 administrative and support workers, and roughly 219 faculty members, TCE is a self-sustaining educational institution over 143 acres. The campus is surrounded by lush greenery and the best infrastructure features in a tranquil, environmentally friendly setting.

Thiagarajar College of Engineering – Eligibility Criteria

For UG –

B.Tech/B.E	Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of marks.
B.Arch	Candidates having Passed 10+ 2 Higher Secondary Examination with 50 % marks as aggregate, having Mathematics as a subject of Study and obtained 70 marks out of 200 in NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture) test.

For PG-

M.E	Candidates must have graduation degree (B.E) And Candidates who have written the TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) for M.E. degree programmes/ valid GATE Score are eligible.
MCA	The candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree in the 10+2+3 pattern, preferably with mathematics and statistics as one of the topics at the degree level, or with core mathematics at the 10+2 school level. Furthermore, candidates were required to show up for the Anna University Entrance Examination (TANCET).

Placements: The highest salary package offered is 19.5 LPA by VMware, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month by Kimberly-Clark. Top companies that visited our college are Deloitte, Delta Electronics, Dell, Titan, TCS, TVS Motors, Wipro, Infosys, VMware, IBM, Cognizant Technology, etc. Infrastructure: The quality of vegetarian food with all facilities is good. Wi-Fi facilities are available in each block of the college and hostel. Labs are also well-maintained with sufficient machines and equipment. Our college has many clubs and teams for sports and games. Overall, it is excellent. Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent as all the teachers have a good experience in this course. Program outcomes and course outcomes are relevant. Many internship opportunities are given to students.
