NLSIU, Bengaluru provides a range of law programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels for qualified candidates. Among these programs, some are particularly favoured by students.
A Pass in 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Forty Five percent (45%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD categories and Forty percent (40%) of marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
LLM
A candidate should have passed the LL.B or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/ category)
Master’s Program in Public Policy
Any person holding a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized national or international University is eligible to apply to the programme. Applicants in the General Category should have graduated with an aggregate of not less than 45% of total marks. Applicants in the SC or ST or OBC-NCL or PWD category should have graduated with an aggregate of not less than 40% of total marks.
PhD
An LLM degree, or its equivalent, with a minimum of 75% marks (70% for OBC/SC/ST/ Persons with disability) from a recognized university is required.
The 23-acre campus of NLSIU boasts upgraded infrastructure and numerous facilities for students. NLSIU Bangalore's facilities are modern and tailored to meet students' needs.
Hostel- The university has four hostels (Ganga, Cauvery, Himalaya, and Hoogli) for boys students. NLSIU Bangalore has six girls' hostels: Nilgiris, Narmada, Yamuna, Gangotri, Vindhyas (Annexe block), and Annapoorna (Mess Block). These hostels offer a comfortable stay with basic facilities, including 24-hour water supply and laundry services.
Gym- National Law School of India University boasts a well-maintained fitness center and gym equipped with the latest equipment. Students can also access the Sports Authority of India sports complex nearby.
Library- The college library is a three-story building covering 30,000 square feet, housing books, journals, research papers, and reference materials. It is managed by professional staff.
Sports- The NLS campus offers various sports facilities, including a football field, basketball court, badminton, volleyball, and tennis courts, an indoor table tennis facility, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, and an aerobics/yoga center.
Cafeteria- NLSIU Bangalore has a cafeteria near the academic block that serves snacks, meals, and beverages at pocket-friendly prices. The food is nutritious and hygienic.
Creche- To provide a safe and nurturing space for the children of faculty and staff, the university reopened its in-house creche in 2022. Located behind the Training Centre, the creche has been refurbished and features indoor and outdoor play areas, staffed by a Centre Manager/Teacher and nannies.
