Siddharth College of Law was founded in Mumbai in 1956 by the People's Education Society, which was formed by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on July 8, 1945. The college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai.

The college has received accreditation from the Bar Council of India (BCI). It provides LLB, LLM, and Post Graduate Diploma courses in Law. Admissions to the college are contingent upon the LAW-CET entrance test of Maharashtra. For the LLB and LLM programs, candidates are selected based on their MH-LAW CET examination scores, while Post Graduate Diploma course admissions are merit-based, and determined by the marks obtained in the undergraduate degree.
