Karnavati University is a State Private University dedicated to excellence in teaching and focused on interdisciplinary learning. Spread over 33 acres of land, the University is located in Uvarsad near Gandhinagar. Through the Gujarat Private Universities Act, of 2017, the state of Gujarat gave Karnavati University, Gandhinagar private university status in March 2017. Karnavati University was also granted UGC recognition. Membership in the Association of Indian Universities is also conferred to Karnavati University.
The university offers courses in five colleges covering various disciplines such as law, design, dentistry, business, liberal arts and mass communication.
The goal of Karnavati University, Gandhinagar which was founded by the Karnavati Medical & Educational Trust, is to make the transition from generalist to superspecialist.
