In 1983, Dr Patangrao Kadam founded Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering. BVUCOEP, Pune is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University). This, in its third cycle, was accredited by "NAAC" with an “A+” rating in 2017. Engineering courses are available at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
A program of BVUCOEP was approved in 2018, 2012, and 2005 by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). By NIRF, MHRD, and the Indian government, BVUCOEP has consistently been listed among the top 100 engineering institutes in the country for the past five years. NIRF 2022 placed it 131st nationally.

Hostel- As an equal opportunity university, BVUCOE offers its students hostel accommodations on a first-come, first-served basis. Each student receives a locker, a tube light, a table, a chair, and a bed. The hostel offers the amenities listed below: separate residences for boys and girls. Every day, there is delicious and hygienic food supplied; a special staff is organized to ensure discipline in the hostel; and there is internet access available.
Medical Facility- There are four hospitals on campus: one each for homeopathy and ayurveda, and two for allopathy, including a dentistry hospital. The campus is close to Allopathy's main hospital. It contains state-of-the-art critical care units, including an ICU, NICU, and PICU, that are fully furnished. Additionally, it features an ultra-modern and state-of-the-art operation theatre and all the diagnostic facilities.
Bank- The university's founder, Dr. Patangrao Kadam, founded the "Bharati Sahakari Bank," which is located on campus. Additionally, the bank offers its account holders ATM access. Students can access a variety of facilities through on-campus banking, negating the need for them to run to another bank to complete any transactions. Additionally, it offers students and faculty a subsidiary rate lending option.
Reprographic Facility- All common reprographic resources are available to staff and students at the college. It has modern infrastructure and equipment. This comprises a media lab facility, photocopier service, scanning service, and CD/DVD writing facility.
Gym- The campus features a well-equipped gym with modern equipment. The primary types of equipment, such as workout, gym, and fitness equipment, are available. Students can use this resource for a very low cost. Regular special yoga lessons are conducted.
Library- The staff and students at the college have access to sufficient library resources. The Reference Hall has a selection of excellent books that have been suggested by subject-matter experts; the library also has publications that are available for home reading. The College wants to gradually add more volumes to its collection. The library has subscriptions to reputable publications and journals, particularly in the areas of current events, science, and technology.
