Admission into UG courses in MBBS in GITAM GIMSR, Visakhapatnam is based on the scores obtained by the students in NEET-UG Test.

Candidates who qualified in NEET UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage are eligible for appearing for counselling. The minimum percentage for the general category is 50 (40 per cent for SC/ST/OBC and 45 Percentage for General-PH). Candidates who are qualified in NEET UG are required to register for the counselling process at mcc.nic.in

Counselling of candidates qualified in NEET UG 2022 under the All-India Quota (AIQ) of 15 per cent include seats at Union Government Colleges (except in Jammu & Kashmir), Deemed Universities, seats reserved for Children of Insured Persons (IP quota) in ESIC (Employees’ State Insurance Corporation) Medical Colleges and seats available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune.

To organise various National and International Seminars/Conferences/Student-Tech Festivals/Cultural Programmes etc., GITAM campus at Visakhapatnam has a total of 6 (six) Auditoria.  Guest Lectures of National and International repute, conducting Placement Interviews, Alumni Meetings, and Parent meetings are also conducted in these auditoria.

Indoor/Outdoor Sports facilities in GITAM University, Visakhapatnam:

• Five acres of land earmarked in the campus for organising various sport events and dedicated for the sport-lovers to play various sports/games every day.
• There is an Indoor stadium, Gymnasium, Jogging tracks, exclusive grounds/courts to play cricket, volleyball and basketball at the International Standards are available in the Visakhapatnam campus.
• A separate Gym for Girls is available in the campus exclusively for girl students.
• Kodi Rama Murthy Indoor stadium is under facelift.
• Synthetic and Clay Tennis courts are available at international standards with flood lighting facilities.

GITAM UNIVERSITY, Visakhapatnam Campus – Hostel facilities:

Visakhapatnam campus of GITAM University has Hostel facilities, separately for Girls and Boys. Every room in the Hostel equipped with internet facility to provide homely atmosphere. There are 700 boys staying in Saddharma Sadan and Shanti Sadan Hostels and about 900 girls are staying in a separate Hostel Kokila Sadan, which is well secured.
