|
A Master's degree or a professional degree recognized by the relevant statutory body as being equivalent to a Master's degree must be held by applicants to Ph.D. programs. According to the UGC's occasionally changing ruling, candidates who belong to the SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Differently Abled, and other categories may be eligible for a 5% mark reduction, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent grade relaxation.
