Loyola College, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is one of India's most prestigious higher education institutions. Established in 1925 by French Jesuit priest Francis Bertram and other European Jesuits.
In July 1978, Loyola College received autonomous status despite being affiliated with the University of Madras. It has the authority to design its own curriculum and implement cutting-edge teaching and assessment strategies, which gives it autonomy.
