About Central Institute of Fisheries Education:

The Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) is located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It was established in 1961 with the help of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). This University serves as a higher fisheries education, research, and extension education institution. It has also been awarded the status of “Deemed-to-be-University” in 1989.

CIFE is currently offering programmes in – PG, Diploma and Doctoral programs in different disciplines of fisheries science and technology. It has also strengthened its teaching and research abilities by publishing several research papers in journals with high impact.
