All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s Institute of Information Technology, Pune was established in August 1999. Affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), the college is self-financing. It has the approval of the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, and the AICTE. The College is centrally located in the heart of Pune City. The institution improves the teaching-learning process by giving students access to more resources, opportunities for internships and employment, and connections with academia and industry. 

The National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, has granted the institute accreditation in the fields of electrical and instrumentation engineering.
